Sorry to ask such question. I am new to TIMEDOTCOM.
Today already post-X date. Why are people still dump the share? Is it because those who bought before X date already entitled to DIGI shares?

Are we going to see new right share MAS-xx listing today? if yes, what will it be?
2013-05-31 09:18 | Report Abuse
Thanks @euclid
Isn't that on the ex-date instead of before ex-date? For example today is ex-date for AA dividend. So If I purchase by today 5:00pm still entitle to the dividend right?
And I have to hold the share until a day after entitlement date before I can sell in order to entitle to the 6 sen dividend?

What is the different between Ex-Date versus Entitlement Date?

@Rosma Mk, Actually I am seriously just a newbie.
I just based on some mathematical calculation + reading some financial report and get the 26c IF there will be a new MAS-XX shares separated from MAS Mothershare.
So, I believe it will be 26cents. So, MAS-OR will be worth if you buy at 0.03 cents, eg. 0.03 + 0.23 = 0.26 cents.
But this is just my very lousy theory. Still learing. I find this incident a good opportunity to learn.

@Rosma mk, @benhctan,
If MAS 'A' created separatly from MAS mother share, then it makes more sense now.
2013-05-12 11:21 | Report Abuse
I just read some of the recent MAS financial report and get these numbers... correct me If I am wrong.
*Assumption made: MAS price before relisting is 0.36 cents (A)
A = 0.36
B = 3,342,156,000
C = 13,368,642,960* Assume 100% rights subscribed.
D = 4,277,959,901/16,710,780,960 = ~0.26 cents
New relisting MAS (3786) will be around 0.26 cents.
*Or there will be new MAS - xx ?
2013-05-12 11:07 | Report Abuse
Thanks @Rosma mk.
Do you know where can I find how many total MAS share in the market? I only see volume but not the total numbers of shares.
My understanding for MAS relisting share price
A = MAS Share Price
B = Total # of MAS Shares
C = Total # of MAS Rights subscribed.
D = Diluted new MAS(3786) share, eg. Ex-Rights Relisting Price
D =[ ( A x B) + (0.23 x C)] / (B + C)
Betulkah?

Thanks @alenac.
Actually I understand that the 7 cents is profit. However, I don't quite get it how this 7 cents comes from. Is it "paid" by investors who were losing money or from MAS's pocket?
There must be a balance where someone "loss" 7 cents in order for the other to earn 7 cents....
2013-05-12 09:55 | Report Abuse
Can someone help me to understand this? Appreciate your knowledge sharing:
Let say someone bought MAS-OR @ 0.06 cents, after that they pay additional 0.23 cents to convert to Mother share (MAS). His cost will be (0.06 cents + 0.23 cents) = 0.29 cents.
After convertion completed, his 0.29 cents share now suddendly worth 0.36 cents (*Assuming mother share stay at 0.36 cents).
So he earn (0.36 cents - 0.29 cents) = 0.07 cents.
My question is.. who pay for this 0.07 cents? Is it eat into MAS's expenses or any categories in the balance sheet later?
(Sorry, I am not studying accountancy or business, need some help to rationalized my statement). Thanks.

@stranac, thanks.
My personal view: After post MAS-OR, those who purchased MAS-OR will be waiting for MAS (Mother) to be (MAS-OR + 0.23). I personally still don't think there is such easy money here. I believe MAS (Mother share) will slowly slump from 27th May till - 5th June if not, on 6th June, on opening, MAS will open very low because there are many loose investor just want small profit and willing to queue to sell at maybe slightly above (MAS-OR + 0.23)... that will be sufficient enough to bring down MAS's price...
2013-05-10 15:44 | Report Abuse
@grasia, what will happen to MAS (mothershare) from 14 MAy till 21 May?
2013-05-10 12:38 | Report Abuse
Something very clear happening here is that, buying MAS-OR is the right choice as long as MAS-OR + 23c > MAS share.
The big question now is, why is MAS share still not yet tumble?
Will the be such a nice sure win scenario that all whom purchased MAS-OR will guarantee make big buck because whatever MAS-OR price they bought now, after paying extra 23c will make them earn a lot after converting to MAS?
A simple logic but what is happening now in the market is making me very confuse :)
Sorry, I am really a newbie but interesting with MAS's situation now.
2013-05-10 11:11 | Report Abuse
@raviy2k13, you bring out the point. That's what I am interested to find out. "Excess Rights". MAS may not want to accept too many excess shares and hence, they may reject some so-called WHITE FORM right? With that , what will happen to those who purchase MAS-OR and apply to convert to MAS mother share but is not approved?
Sorry I am just trying to make myself clear. Feel free to let me know if my question does not make sense.
2013-05-10 10:41 | Report Abuse
If I buy MAS-OR now, Am I guarantee to be able to pay extra 23c to convert into MAS? IF YES, that means there could be possibility that the final subscription will be more that what MAS early anticipated. And when that happen, the mother share will be further diluted.

I mean I just don't understand. Sorry for typo
2013-05-09 16:05 | Report Abuse
I just understand what are those who bought MAS share at this point hoping for as the MAS-OR is so low. Obviously there is no reason to buy MAS instead of MAS-OR isn't it?
2013-05-09 14:04 | Report Abuse
grasia, can you explain why are there still people trading the mother share now? any rationale with that?
2013-05-08 16:55 | Report Abuse
Does that means MAS will be dragged down tomorrow or MAS-OR will be pushed up tomorrow?

Is MAS-OR only can be traded by those who has the OR-FORM? Otherwise, why do we still need to buy MAS before 2nd May in order to get 4x MAS-OR?
2013-05-08 16:10 | Report Abuse
What is the relationship between MAS & MAS-OR?
I am trying to understand what is the rationale for buying MAS (Mother share) now instead of wainting until MAS-OR expire?

Sorry to post this question. May I know what will happen to the Mother Share (MAS) after the MAS-OR expire?
Is this question valid?

sorry for asking this. Assuming final price is 0.70 cents + 100% rights subscribed, then the Ex-right price will be how much?

How About My Other Question Regarding How To Determine The Ex Right Price After 2 May?
2013-04-22 13:14 | Report Abuse
Alenac, why do you think it will go down to 10 sen? Just purely for the sake of understanding, after the right execution, will there be new share called MAS-OR or it will remain as MAS but thte price will be diluted? and which date's MAS price will it use to calculate the ex-right price ? Is it the closing price on 2nd May?
