Could recall where I read/heard, but it seems that last week's overall rally in Bursa is due to foreign investors. US rate hike expectation slows down due to inflation rate decreasing, and also Malaysia reported good GDP growth. Some good catalysts for the overall market.

@bang_miskin its like a belated drop. Not only does the QR continue showing decline, the decline did not really slow down. One day we cant stabilise the earnings, the onward projection would be loss making. When the decline will stop? Its anyone's guess. My guess was last QR and I was wrong, but let's hope the worst is over and we dont see operating/net losses.

Any downgrade in revenue/earnings growth would be detrimental to the short term share price, and of course, vice versa. DYOR.

I believe the recent climb has to do with foreign investors rotating funds, don't be overly optimistic about the QR. AFAIK the irish co. acquisition deal is not finalised yet?

yeah, i'm confused by the price movement but i'll take anything that's green. Not comparing to 2019 just yet (there's no oversupply situation in 2019), but there's no sign from the recent QR that the decline has stabilised. Maybe this recent decline was predicted and priced in.

Yeap @cerubic, these blindly follow sifu technical fellas think they can predict numbers from the chart. Only an extremely small portion of them actually make money.

@Windy that's very nice of you to assume, I may be a newbie in investing but I don't listen to buy or sell calls. And I hate people that give buy or sell calls. Not saying whoever this Alfred is giving buy or sell call, I have no idea who they are. Sorry for you and your losses if that is how you start out your investing journey.

Understand that PE is not everything and Harta commands a premium for how they conduct their business and high likelihood of them surviving the turmoil facing glove making industry. But how much premium you want to pay for, is up to you.

I don't mind Harta being out of KLCI, take away unnecessary attention speculating on prices rather than sticking to fundamental. I like this counter but I'm really skeptical on RM3 based on the recent quarter. Apparently i was very out of the loop for expecting another >80mil NP. Was hoping for 10sen annualised EPS so 25PE would put it at rm2.5 and 30PE would be at rm3. However, with the annualised profit of only around 7sen, doubtful we can see a PE higher than 30, also doubtful of EPS >3sen per quarter for next 2 quarters.

looks bad to me, but seems like it is expected by many. 6months extrapolated eps of 7sens puts the current PE at around 30 :(

@bang_miskin, apologies i wasnt clear, i meant the 50% np & margin drop, it's pretty sad, though not red till loss making like Intco. Don't know why but I feel that Intco's gross loss is done deliberately, kill off the smaller half-as_ players asap to resume normal supply-demand equilibrium. Battle of who has a deeper pocket for now.

Natsuko, I do not know what fundamentals you're talking about, but if you're talking strictly about the external appearance and environment, then you're missing out. Not just in Harta, but life in general. Shallow.

@bang_miskin Kossan's red is worrying, but their share price clearly factored that in prior to QR. Hoping for the best for harta.

well now we know how much Harta is worth in investors eyes for now, between 1.6-1.9 probably. Hopefully they're expecting red for coming couple QRs, otherwise Natsuko's crystal ball could take effect once again.

hoping to see 800m revenue and 80m profit, that would be a good QR for me. 2.5sen quarter EPS extrapolating to 10sen yearly EPS, 25x PE @rm2.5.

@bang_miskin I'm optimistic about not seeing red, in fact. I expected previous QR to more or less stabilise, results missed my expectation, but the dive did shrinked a lot compared to previous QR. I'm hoping for a consistent QR this round, similar EPS (~3-5% variance) if not better than previous QR. Let's see if those "diving ASP" and "diving utilisation rate" applies to Harta. Management that built good karma during peak shall receive good karma during dip.

@cerubic speaking about portfolios, i've been trimming down and keep cash in view of recession. Don't feel like I want to trim any of my harta, if it goes down my money will go down together. Emotional as it sounds, Natsuko reaffirmed my commitment and dedication to hold.

On Khatu and Income, at least one of them is not talking about another's wife. I choose to leave both of them alone. Khatu is just trying to entertain in midst of a down time, i guess.

@ccpool yeah i recognise those levels just by frequenting here, was hoping 1.8 could stay as a support, welp guess not. Let's see. But I'll definitely need longer time before being comfortable with trading. The idea of buying with view to see short term rebound and sell off is very uncomfortable for me. What if it doesnt happen and I don't know if what I bought will be worth holding long term.

Hahah i'm not buying or selling for now, not aiming to profit short term either, honestly it is very difficult to predict these movements as short-term share fluctuations are often irrational. I believe the resistances are short term, buy if got money (and make sense with portfolio balancing), sell later when I feel it is overpriced. Harta is definitely not overpriced now in my very personal opinion.

Yeah, Harta will get there anyway eventually (years). Try not to invest with money that you need to pull out in weeks or months and try to short term profit. Unless you're willing to take the risk of losing and cut loss where needed like fellow TA traders. If you are, then its better you speak to ccpool, he seems good at it.

Yeah I think new waves are inevitable, whilst it is unlikely that we go back to lock downs, proper PPE demands could go up. Plus, locally, election doesnt help with the virus...
