So Hubline price up and down currently is just like its ship floating up and down in Pacific ocean. . . affecting by some wind... and some players (rolling in the deep) or (set fire to the rain)

If Tabung Haji also wants to sell off their part, then the story is no good. . coz tabung haji is always the most patient in helping the companies, they are the most considerable , look at silver bird last time... the cake that we eat.. is nice... how tabung haji trying to save them.. If tabung haji also let go, then the company has lose hope

Hubline unquestionable is a good company. (If the accounting side do not simply spend money) and ( if do not simply take loans to buy other ship). . and ( if pay back their bank loans on time)..

Hubline is mainly in Container business, now trying to catch up with the oil and gas, so they buy 2 ships . . But loan still not approve, after loan approve it will try to catch up with the 2nd quarter tender from oil and gas company. After the tender processing, (normally takes 3 to 4 months) , if can get, Project release will first quarter of 2015. Operation cost have to bear from 2015 Jan to 2015 April. Accounting profit will report in 2nd quarter 2015

The main issue is China is producing too many ships, now the ships floating in sea is more than the goods to be transfer. The profit that created by hubline is mainly due to the exchange rate as US dollars are rising.

Look at BDI .. it drops back .. America is creating unexpected drop in jobs sectors. . It means that for import and export, shipping companies are still waiting for projects. and the tender prices are very low.

Shipping is moving on a healthy direction. . especially in oil and gas sector..For container sector, still have a long distance to proceed. Imagine the 3 largest shipping company in the world cooperate in last month.. It affects the overall shipping index.

Wah, the big share holder alr board to other shipping company. PDZ. Do we think that this ship still have the potential to go another 100 - 200% .. Then the big shareholder really lose his direction.. selling at lowest price.

Yaya, just keep in mind, when the debts time line is reach, and they dont have $ to pay, will be apply for right issue again, to collect $, more people have to give $ again. . If bursa not allow right issue, then have to delisting and wait for bank lelong.

One critical issue sometimes come to our mind. If we are a major shareholder of any company, we hv the right to make "selection and tender" decision in our company, and we are happy in our zone.

So when we buy back our share, it is just strengthen our percentage in this company. It does not really mean the price will go up. (except golden finger, that is another story).

The saddest thing is Richard let go his own stock. As a director,we are the one who is most clear of our company's situation, if we can see potential in this stock (at least in short term), and we alr hold it for so long time, are we going to let go at a loss ? Haizzzz..... wat to do..

Especially when the GST go up by 7%, watever we buy goes up 7%, the vessels maintainece cost and running cost increase by 7%. Hubline could be sweating handling all these issues. Hopefully the management can standby to handle this expanses issue nicely, otherwise the loan interest from the bank could be quite tiring for the financial report of hubline.

I very agree with greatdreamer, NTA is very high for hubline. 0.19 and looks very attractive. Hopefully hubline will go up faster, because NTA is calculated from its vessels price. Indeed delay year by year, the value of vessels becomes more little.

Just like we buy a taxi, the car will get older and older by year, originally if we buy 60k, after 5 years, maybe it will only cost 25k if we want to sell out the taxi. If the money we earn from bringing passenger is just enough to cover the petrol and toll and enough for daily life. After a few year, do we see any new potential in this taxi ? Taxi is still taxi. That is the main reason why after so many years, the price of hubline still didnt go up much.

Now the Syrian, Arabian, and some countries issue are a bit tight, any unhappy things happen (internal war), petrol price will surge up. If the world crude oil price go up, imagine the running cost of vessels will go up by how many percent. That is the most important killing point for vessel companies that we have to take care about.

Two main issues - 1st, profit margin alr very low (market too challenging), 2nd, Running cost keep increasing. If we can identify these 2 issues, we can predict the future of hubline.

If you have interest in shipping analysis, go and check those world shipping companies profit and loss. Especially nowadays when a lot of the products previous make by other countries and supply to America, now America is taking back and produce in their own countries. Less container shipping services is needed. Shipping index i think will not jump too high in short term. Not to say profit, they are just good enough to survive and not bankrupt.

When i worked in Boston last time as an engineer, most of the algorithmic trading systems are written based on quantitative analysis. In those systems (normally used by funds and bankers), the most important considerations are opportunity cost, even if we put the $ in bank as fixed deposit, we need to take 3.5% interest. For those systems, there is no dream stock to wait, we have to proceed. And now we are playing in their system, we have to follow their way or we will wash away by the tide. Everything is computerize, is just too fast.

Just imagine 1st stock, we have RM1000, now we lose RM300, we left RM700, Ok. we want to be a long term investor, because we know it will take long long time to go up..

If we take RM700, go invest in other stock, lets say it goes up 1 time, now we have RM 1400, we go other stock, one more time if possible, now RM 2800. 1st stock now go up a bit. We say is time to go back to 1st stock we buy.

Ok, the same amount of stock, now cost us RM900, we can buy back 3 times more. RM900 x 3 =RM2700. Actually we have increase our holding volume by 3 times. Isn't it better?

Cutting lost is a pain... a slash in your heart, to kill what you believe and trust once upon a time, a dream stock that you have confident in, and now you let it go in your own hands just by one click.... " Sell", and everything is gone. You have to start a new.. Find another stock, build your foundations once again. And the people you told them last time, " this counter is good", and now people laugh at you.. You need to be a hero to do this.. I offer you my respect.

I very agree with Hot.T, indeed hubline is a very good company. But the problem is worldwide shipping is down too much.. Yes, one day this counter will come back again as it is last time, but it will just take a long long time to wait. imagine you cut lost a bit, then earn a few times in other stock, then only come back again. Isn't it better.

My friend told me Benalec is coming.. Also a good shipping company, so maybe the director also jump onto a bigger ship..

i count count, if we take the same amount of money go and invest in other stock, dont know untung how much already. but to hold the believe we believe really sacrifice a lot. We either be a hero or we drink milo.
