Rengat CBM PSC - NuEnergy as Operator - 100% Revenue share – Area 2,995km2

In February 2014, NuEnergy signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a strategic Asian investor for a Farm-n at the Rengat PSC (the “Farm-in Party”). Under the terms of the proposed Farm-In transaction the Farm-in Party will:

Invest in NuEnergy via a 10% share placement at a price equal to the higher of a 15% discount to the 14 day Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) or 4 cents per share, raising a minimum of AU$1.3 million; and Pay NuEnergy US$2.7 million in cash plus provide a full carry on 3 core and 3 pilot production wells, with the full value of the carry program being estimated at US$10-12 million, 

in return for being assigned a 49.9% participating interest in Rengat PSC located in central Sumatra, Indonesia.   The proposed Farm-in Party has extensive experience in the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) service industry and with drilling and completion techniques that can significantly enhance the productivity of the CBM wells.

The Rengat PSC was awarded on 9 November 2009. Leading up to this the company completed a joint study with MiGas, an Indonesian Government owned energy regulator entity. The results of this study have defined an area of 2,995 square kilometres encompassing coal seams averaging 3-5 meters thick and from 450 to 1550m in depth in the Central Sumatra basin, known as the Rengat area.

Preliminary studies of the concession area have suggested that coal properties are suitable for CBM exploitation and commercial production and rank favourably with comparable global CBM producing basins. There is considerable existing oil field and gas pipeline off-take infrastructure in the area and this should facilitate any future developments.

Further Geological and Geophysical (G&G) studies carried out by NuEnergy have located a coal seam within the PSC area of 15 metres thick on a continuous basis.
