Sorry I still do not understand why the par value is important.
In MAS case, we already knows that the co. had been making losses and now it decides to make it more realistic by writing them off via a reduction of par value. I think it goes down because of the rights issue as the fund managers etc does not want to throw good money after bad
If a company wants to issue shares below par, they can easily do the above or in KNM's case credit the balance from the reserves, share premium a/c etc.
If no par value, then all company have to declare their dividends in sens rather some in percentage and some in sens.
Just my 1/2 sen as I may have left out something

Please don't turn this into a race issue. It is just that what Faisal is hard to believe but that does not mean that he is a con. It is wrong to call someone a con without prove. It is hard to achieve what Faisal had done but it is achieveable. Congratulations anyway.
Please don't let one person's wrong spoil the whole atmosphere for you. From the above I can see that you have a lot of supporters. So please don't leave. Keep us informed. Thanks.

1) 1 for 1 bonus share is not share split though the ex-price has the same effect. for the bonus share if you hold 20,000 before ex date then you will get 20,000 extra shares. tOTAL 40,000 shares @10 sen nominal value.
For share split, you also have 40,000 shares but @ 5 sen nominal value.
2)What kevin says is the ex-price and what robert says is what he thinks is likely the actual trading price on Monday. I think it maybe 19 + 19 + 8.
goodluck anyway.

already x, so no more consolidation. If cannot afford to lose, best not to touch such counter. Not surprise after consolidation price keep going south to reach what 4 sen. Recent examples are Lioncorp and KNM. Maybe there are some that shoot up after consolidation. But this sanichi is a lousy counter and most probably keeps losing money. A big black hole????

Sorry to hear about your oversold problem Kenshin & Spy123. Best to change to online trading to overcome this kind of problem like kasim said. Also online is cheaper. Ask those lousy remisers to eat themselves.

KC you are right and everyone is wrong this time.
OR = 70 sen
subscribe = 128 sen
total = 198 sen
warrant cost = 198 - 160 (current price) = 38 sen
conversion price = 228
premium = 228 - 160 + 38 = 106 or 66%
for me the premium is too high. Either the warrant price will come down alot or the mother will go up alot. Most probably the warrant will come down.
Just my own opinion. Do you own analysis before deciding. Goodluck.

Tonylim, then you will be a very rich man. Just convert all your warrants at 40 sen per share. That means as long as the Scomi is over 40 sens you will be better off converting. The coniseration is when you receive your Scomi in about 3 weeks time (?) will Scomi be more than 40 sens.

In this case best to buy Scomi and you have all the best in the world.
If Scomien and/or Scomimr go up, Scomi beneifts. If Scomi goes up, Scomien and Scomimr does not benefit. Mind you I have only Scomimr.

Thanks bullbear. From the above it seems they are very kind people giving you money (interest) with no risk (gold bars). If you 'invested' RM 10,000, you will receive RM200 + per month. How does these good people (seller) gets their return. They receive RM 10,000 from you, takes the money to buy gold for you as collateral. Balance zero yet have to pay you hibah, consultation fees, rent, salaries etc. Somewhere along the line there must be a flaw like pure gold + alot of impurities so that the collateral is only a small percentage of what it is worth. Anybody to commend?

Can someone enlighten here how they actually operate. I heard that they were given gold bars which is worth the amount they 'bought/invested'? What happened to the gold bars? Fake? Diluted? etc????? Thanks in advance.

Best is to pay dividend in terms of share if the dividend is subject to tax at 25%. Once received the shares the shareholder can either hold or sell any amount they like according to their choice. If they need the money they can still sell it or invest in other counters that can offer a better return. If not just keep it.
If the company does not pay dividend, then the share price may not go up much and the management may squander the money away or privatise it on the cheap. Look at KPSCB, company is earning good EPS but never pays dividend.

Well, friends I think the price adjustment will not be 50% unless the market turns very bad.
Say have 2,000 sh @70 sen = RM1,400 + 1,000 sh @ RM400 (Rights sh)
therefore 3,000 sh cost RM1,800. Average cost per sh = 60 sen
So if KNM is at 70 sen immediately before the ex date, then the reference price is 60 sen.

By my observation, usually new warrants are at about 40% premium. At close CSL = RM1.07. At 40% premium = 42.8 sen. Less (RM 1.15 - RM1.07 = 8 sens) i.e conversion price less current price, I think the warrant should be about 42.8 - 8 sens = 34.5 sens. Hope the warrant still got a lot of potential. Please let me know if my reasoning or computation is wrong. Thanks in advance. Just hoped to shall. Any experts around?
