JCY close at RM1.09. Conversion price = RM1.15.
say at 30% premium = 1.09 * 30% = 33 sen
therefore warrant price should be about 33 sen - (1.15 - 1.09) = 27 sen

Hopefully the warrant price trades higher than this amount.

Rookiemy, you can do that but usually is very limited as we do not hold that much as to move the price down.
What they mean by shortsell is to borrow from someone and then throw them forcing the price to come down thus making a hugh profit. If making losses the borrower will bear all the expenses and if profit they split between the borrower, lender and the middleman (IB usually)

OR what the licensed day traders (market marker) do. They are allowed to sell the shares first and then buy back in the same day. Our market is not matured enough to allow us retailers to shortsell.

I don't understand why they need to do this? As I understand most of these call warrants are way out of money even at RM1.20 (most or all exercise price is RM1.50 & above. If JCY does not go up to RM1.50, they also do not lose. Why have to press down JCY borrowing so much shares ? Also have to pay the owners certain percentage for borrowing shares from them.

No so much as online trading. In anything when there are big money involved, there is going to be a lot of cheating/con. Because of the slightly lax nature of Ace counters, it is subject to more speculation/ con job, Even without online trading, they also con us. Remember during the days of the Second Board when there is no online trading?
