So many people believe to Indon Minister saying AA is not permit to flight. Are you telling me if the airline not permit to flight the route, the airport and authority still arranged for it? In fact news has been pop up saying that both party in SG and Indon air control had approved this flight. The one not approve it is the minister who "not approve" after incident had happened. Why he put such false statement at this moment? At the moment he should put 100% effort on searching the plane but he dint, in turn he went to say AA dint check weather, AA flight not permit. Motive is very obvious, bureaucrat wants money (Indon one of the most corrupted country) and he want to kick the ball out, if he don't blame AA, he will be the one being blamed. The total borrowing is dominated in USD, but its long term borrowing and not for immediate repayment, therefore only will shows unrealized foregin exchange loss, there is no impact on the cash flow or the business. AA had hedge USD to offset the risk. IF not mistaken the borrowing is pledge with the airplane to be delivered, if really cant pay the load, then those new air plane just give it to the bank, still wont affect current operation, just that the expansion plan failed.

GoodCompanies, yea AA is a high performance and good fundamental company. All airlines company over the world is raising fund to buy new planes, AA has to do it otherwise will lose in competition. In fact the management understand they are adopting cost leader strategy (Porter 3 generic) and never change their strategy like MAS, they form AAX because of segmentation strategy. How rare How rare we can see a Malaysian management team that has a clear cut on business strategy and compete to the international operator? Worth for a buy.

AA debt is not first day denominated in USD and that is for AA CAPEX to expand in thai and india.
