@glovemask What are you on dude? Moderna doesn't require - 70 for storage. That is Pfizer. Furthermore, Pfizer has solution for distribution anyway. A vaccine is not a cure, but will stop virus from spreading. Literally cornering it until it's gone. FYI, there are numerous vaccine that will come into action soon, not just the 3 up for approval. That's really good news for mankind and recovery plays! :)

@mita29 I don't know what you are trying to say or prove. Vaccine efficacy was determined by the clinical trials which were quite large anyway. After approval from FDA, we will see more people around the world being vaccinated. There will still be data collected. Similar to polio vaccine previously. What are you trying to say? Don't you want us to get out of this pandemic? Let the FDA do their job. And from what we know, UK regulators are likely to approve the vaccine this coming week and the FDA on 10th Dec. There will be more vaccines that will go through the same journey and as such, we will have choices, with different manufacturers that will manufacture in sufficient quantities for everyone. Celebrate the success of the researchers. Bet on recovery counters. There is amazing value getting in early.

@mita29 There are many bright individuals in the world working on vaccines to help put an end to the pandemic. Don't down play their achievements. 95% efficacy is absolutely amazing. With more vaccines in the works, I'm pretty confident that we'll have this under control in no time.
More importantly, the research that had been triggered by Covid will open doors for vaccines for other conditions in the future. Definitely a big step forward for mankind in the field of medicine.
If you are still in Gloves, make sure you have an exit plan soon. Am sure the demand for gloves will still be there but will start to trend down when vaccines starts being distributed aggressively. Also, other countries are considering manufacturing gloves as well. You know within Malaysia itself there are many already jumping on the Glove manufacturing bandwagon, which will increase supply and reduce selling price.

There is so much debate around vaccine bringing glove down, and the counter that vaccine still needs glove...
Let's break it down and assume all Covid jabs need glove and 2x jabs per treatment.
Assumption:
Glove cost: USD70 per 1000
World population: 7.8b
Required Glove: 7.8b x 2 = 15.6b

I assume glove cost is RM300 per 1000 for easy calculation.
Glove Cost: (15.6b / 1000) x 300 = RM4.68b

I don't know what is the profit margin on the gloves but just on pure cost of purchasing the gloves to vaccinate the world, its RM4.68b. This cost is distributed to manufacturers across the globe. Again, I don't know how big of a pie TG has of the world market but only RM4.68b sales does not look big. How is this sustainable? Are we anticipating a Covid-20, Covid-21, and so on?
