it maybe too late now to get a good price for warrants.
if you cant take the idea of losing money....sell all n cut loss
if you still can gamble with some money...sell some at least get back some cash n not lose all should things go south
if u have super balls of steel n not afraid if losing all...keep
i am keeping some to gamble.
all the best

update on CS & PAG & LTH
CS is buying reach shares on behalf of PAG
pag is the beneficiary while cs is the direct shareholder. cs can vote. pag cannot vote. But PAG is the true owner so pag is assume to be calling the whole shots
PAG total = 5.73%
reach energy holdings (20%) cannot vote.
hence left 80% to vote.
pag holdings = 5.73/80 = 7.16% (below the 25% deciding factor)
lembaga tabung haji = 5.219%
5.219/80 = 6.5%
pag buys...LTH follows...this is good

this midf report i believe came out too slow. should have come out last week.
however there are compelling arguements to the share price.
BUT....the markets seems to be tidak apa on this stock.
nothing can be done except wait for the QA result
2016-04-21 15:48 | Report Abuse
aha finally a proper dcf valuation of stag from midf. i knew its not so simple as to just put in a figure of 0.38/share after QA.
good to know. btw mr.tan i thought u are voting no and going for the guaranteed yield?
but thx for the midf info tho

guys does tony n co really have margin call for aax at 70c?
curious guy thx
2016-04-21 12:20 | Report Abuse
i dun think they have every intention to support the share price dy. theres no movement at all.
the markets DO indirectly know all. its like the markets are just not interested in sona
2016-04-21 12:09 | Report Abuse
this is sad.
well its a 50 50 chance of passing or failing.
2016-04-20 11:36 | Report Abuse
Yes sudahkena. Its call panic selling...all reasons thrown out the window
2016-04-20 11:34 | Report Abuse
I think the management are caught in a very unusual situation whereby normally ....the minority shareholders are normally not important in a listed company haha.
This is not unusual with our local coporate governance culture. So my guess is they do know how to react.
They shld know...the management IS the face of the co. No show face no action taken there goes the companys reputation.
Its really not easy being a ceo in a public listed co. But this is life.
2016-04-20 11:28 | Report Abuse
I think many factors have come into play here. But looking at the recent plans strategies. I believe its really a 50 50 chance now.
The plan to entice the big shareholders maybe good. But the recent share price is not giving any confidence.
I also dunno already. 50 50 ppl. All the best

Actually those who vote no may actually buy back again shld the qa passes n the oil price going up. There's no really right or wrong. Just how u decide at the moment in time. Lol
2016-04-19 17:16 | Report Abuse
it would be great if drb drops to below rm1, then we can collect more.
would feb proton results be bad?

mr.tan
with the markets, everyone can talk about heaven n earth n back to hell with so many factors influencing the markets.
and you are just being deliberate on just 1 particular subject.
this is of course entirely your opinion but please also be impartial n fair because surely the probability of the share being on the upside is also possible after approval of the QA?
your human emotions is just ONE factor but its NOT the only factor. there are also those who are not easily emotional and are opportunistic.
anything can happen. cheers
2016-04-19 16:15 | Report Abuse
well buying the shares may not get you a vote ...but still entitled to the 8sen cashback...assuming pass QA.
2016-04-19 16:09 | Report Abuse
no wonder the shares are quite quiet for a while now
2016-04-18 18:47 | Report Abuse
Ah now that is a good explanation. I have learnt somthing new today.
Thx mr.tan
Btw what do u recommend?
2016-04-18 17:13 | Report Abuse
mr.tan
so i guess there are really 2 choices now:
1) vote no and get back 48.5sens 9% yield(guaranteed!!)
2) vote yes and assuming buy now at 44.5 and get back 8sens from capital repayment...NOT yield but STILL CASH of 18%
I still CANT see the logic in going for option 1.
honestly with option 2, u still have a chance.
with 8sens cashback with reduced shareholders equity(share price drops to 37sens) there are always chances of share price rising from 37sens. this is not guaranteed however. at least u still OWN the share n may get dividends in the future. dun like then sell lo.
thats why in investing all are subjective. i honestly doubt many investors care WHERE their cashback comes from. cash is cash. you receive it. that is good. There are also companies borrowing to give dividends....how do u relate to that? petronas dip into their shareholders equity to pay extra to our Government becoz their earnings are not enuf. how?
until of course shit happens
2016-04-18 15:06 | Report Abuse
so then you guys vote no lo...simple ma....
those wanna vote yes vote yes lo....

Buy 44.5sen and vote NO.
Get back 48.5 sen, 9% yield GUARANTEE!
mr.tan
your calculations are really EXCEPTIONAL
yes guaranteed 9% yield. smart move....whoa...
but if I
buy 44.5sen and vote YES
get back 8sen capital, 18% yield....DUH.....
isnt this better???
2016-04-18 11:43 | Report Abuse
callme i am sorry to hear that.
unfortunately we cant really stop ppl from making insinuations and this la that la.
we as smart investors must realise that when its time to go ....u know its time to go...
i am sure u know what i mean.
good luck n all the best to all.
i am monitoring sona carefully

Do u guys think tony will push aax back up to pre ipo level? I have collected since 70c below ipo level n am not asking too much. 70c would be great too.
Does tony have lots of aax shares margined off to borrow against his aax shares to get cash? Anyone knows. Curious investor here
2016-04-17 13:05 | Report Abuse
Of course no shares ever move up in a straight line n never stop. Best to collect at dips
2016-04-17 12:50 | Report Abuse
Hope for the best. But if the shares n warrants dun move higher, its a red flag dy.

No problem mr.dogwithbone. a pleasure...plus i learn things too.
Cruise. U are right.
Sometimes i wonder what arguments are the naysayers trying to protray? Company this bad la that la. Cap repayment not good la..co nta go down la...aiyo
If u look at other companies majority are actually doing the same thing...plus heavy debt load heavy interest repayments to bondholders..sometimes i think they know too little n just jump to conclusions without basis n evidence of wrongdoing.
Even tho i agree that the share price shld go above 48 to be better...we have to admit that the latest cap repayment is very good. Its not perfect but investing in stocks are always subjective...those who don't know this really cant succeed lo.
Anyways all the best to all! Huat ar!
2016-04-15 12:07 | Report Abuse
callme is right too.
i second his statement
2016-04-15 12:05 | Report Abuse
of course you may be right.
however its known that pag n cs are yield investors whose main focus is in arbitraging returns like a hedge fund.
We know that swiss central bank has a negative interest rate environment(CS is from switzerland) hence they are very hungry for any kind of yield(malaysia mgs is 3%plus...excluding the exchange rate tho)
hence thats why they come in here for the spacs....juicy cash yield. invest for 3 years n get cash n accrued interest back...safely n guaranteed in a trust account...sounds good right?
they may vote yes of course but depends on how much yield they are getting...thats why sona is sweetening the deal to entice them.
we must may informed decisions even tho reading from the toilet...the chances of they rejecting are real. so theres really no right investment or bad investment its how u choose n act accordingly to infomation. dun get emotionally attached to an investment..this is call loss aversion bias...fear of losing hence didnt sell
2016-04-15 11:56 | Report Abuse
if pag votes yes....EVEN BETTER LO
2016-04-15 11:55 | Report Abuse
ppl just dun read anymore
or just dun understand before jumping into conclusions...sigh
CS holds shares FOR pag. CS is direct shareholder, pag is indirect shareholder. CS CAN vote and pag CANNOT vote. (but since pag is the beneficiary...we assume pag is the BOSS and controls CS to vote)
heres the update:
total indirect sona shares owned by pag = 15.353%
its all held thru 3rd party
CS holds 13.027% for pag(pag is beneficiary)
Deutsche bank holds 2.33% for pag(pag is beneficiary)
HENCE WE ASSUME PAG DECIDES TO VOTE NO(ON A WORST CASE BASIS)
PAG CAN SAY NO RIGHT?
sona shareholders = 100%
minus Platinum Autumn 20%(the management of sona) no right to vote
= left 80% of us holding sona shares to vote.
if pag says no....what is their percentage int his 80% ????
=15.353/80 = 19.2%(still below the 25% rejection criteria)
THATS WHY SONA STILL HAS HOPE LA!!!!
paham kah people
2016-04-15 11:42 | Report Abuse
becoz its ALL over the media n news that there are yield investors in SPACs that only want cashback....namely CS n pag duhhh
have u been reading the news on spacs lately?
thats why we are basing the shareholdings owned by CS/pag in a worst case scenario to vote no. paham?
2016-04-14 21:04 | Report Abuse
update on CS & PAG
CS is buying reach shares on behalf of PAG
pag is the beneficiary while cs is the direct shareholder. cs can vote. pag cannot vote
CS holds 4.5% of reach for pag
Deutsche bank holds 0.8% for pag
total = 5.5%
reach energy holdings (20%) cannot vote.
hence left 80% to vote.
pag holdings = 5.5/80 = 6.9% (below the 25% deciding factor) assuming pag mau the cash n vote no.
good news is lembaga tabung haji has upped to 5.2% hence more friendly parties is good for us
Stock: [REACH]: REACH ENERGY BHD
2016-04-26 15:18 | Report Abuse
To the management of REACH,
its a waste for sona but let this be a really important lesson n learning point for all spacs
simple matter of fact is the 75% approval rate. means you are controlled by the majority shareholders. if u failed to entice them then its a goner.
shareholders just do not care about long term prospects, long term profits...they just want their share price to be high enuf said.
if the culture of not giving shit to the minority shareholders continue .....then beware like sona results
