KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): Nova MSC Bhd today fixed the issue price for the first tranche of its private placement at 10 sen per share.

"The issue price of 10 sen per placement share represents the par value of the Nova MSC shares," RHB Investment Bank said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia, on behalf of Nova MSC.

The e-government and healthcare service provider said the payment from the placees are expected to be received within five market days from today.

The group proposed the private placement in January, saying it was aimed at raising between RM119.25 million and RM155.02 million.

It involves the issuance of up to 155.02 million new shares, representing 20% of the enlarged issued and paid-up capital of the company after its proposed acquisition of a 31% stake in CNA Development Pte Ltd from Stone Villa Ltd for RM10 million to be satisfied via the issuance of 45.45 million new shares and cash payment of RM5 million.

The acquisition will result in CNA becoming a 51%-owned subsidiary of Nova MSC. CNA is principally involved in the provision, design and implementation of integrated control and automation systems and information technology solutions for buildings and facilities.

Nova MSC closed 0.5 sen or 4.76% lower at 10 sen today for a market capitalisation of RM59.62 million.

Mar 2016, Come March 2017, Maldivians will welcome a long-awaited provider to the local healthcare scene. For too long, a vast majority of the population has had to travel overseas to seek specialised care unavailable in Maldives such as interventional cardiology, neurology and critical care.

Built to international standards, the proposed 159-bed hospital named Tree Top Hospital (TTH) will be the first private hospital in Hulhumalé and is expected to cater to the island nation's growing population, expatriate workers, as well as serve the vast number of tourists who visit the Maldives.

To realize the management's vision of providing access to quality care at a competitive price, TTH has sought to integrate physical design, skilled resources, streamlined workflows and technology to ensure it provides a holistic experience for its patients and visitors. Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare (RSDH) which has been engaged to assist in the planning, design, commissioning and managing the hospital was also tasked to seek out a technology partner for the TTH project. In an field of international vendors, TTH and RSDH evaluated the software and resources of Nova along with its consortium partners over a few months.

TTH and Nova signed a long-term contract for implementation and support of a Total Hospital Information System (THIS). The system comprises of Nova's VESALIUS Hospital Information System (HIS) which will serve as a core enterprise platform onto which other supporting systems such as Finance, Laboratory Information, Picture Archival & Communications, Human Resource/Payroll Systems and Queue Display - are seamlessly integrated.
