Internal infighting rarely bodes well for the stock price in the future, based on other companies' experience, especially one like this rubbish that is trading so far above net worth, with dubious past performance & centred on a commodity that is already dropping due to the threat of continued interest rate rises.

Next wk, I turn my attention to Texchem, a similarly severely beaten down stock which I scooped up in the low $1s... BUT unlike Bahvest has solid fundamentals...

L@@ks likely to close higher than theoretical ex-divvy price...vindicates my decision to raise my stake from 21,000 to 29,000 between the last two dividends, guaranteeing only the 5th >1000 dividend check since 2013, SBagan, Alcom, Comcorp & Maybulk being the previous ones.

I have this stock but regret didn't buy more to average down @ 99.5c recently. Today, I ventured into S'pore semiconductor play Venture Corp @ S$15.02 after 2 opportunities to trade by buying @ $16.50 & selling @ S$18+ were missed since 2022.

Just for complete transparency, I SOLD another 15% in the high 4.60s this morning. The remainder no more paper profit so gotta hold for medium- to long-term...

Hehe...not so sad anymore that I cashed out 2/3 of my 6-year stake in YTL...Compounding my joy 2day is my 2 month old stake in Great Eastern Hlgs in S'pore went above my entry of S$17.51...AFTER already collecting a 55c dividend =)

That's the risk of chasing a stock that has doubled from its low, no matter how bright the prospects. 5 billion shrs free-float doesn't help either.

Strange that YTL's price in Tokyo trading is still 28 yen, down only 3%.
