SOLD 15% of my Petron @ 4.71 after bagging the largest dividend ever from this co. in my 29 years of trading. Even after the recent re-purchase, my overall cost is $4.58.

40-50c no one wants...when shoot up to 80c-$1 then only ppl want...just like YTL & in that thread, low life, bad luck contrarian indicator pang72 shows up & the stock becomes condemned sooner or later.

I'm still holding to 1/3 of my original stake in YTL with the sales proceeds of the other 2/3 already switched to & earning a fat dividend + capital gain in Petron M'sia & there's NOTHING you or other haters can do about that hahaha...

Ppl who didn't announce that they bought b4 hand cannot be believed...this country is not famous for honesty & integrity unfortunately.

I believe it will test the 20.00 support next week becos CPO prices are back at 2021 levels & it went as low as 18.48 back then...also rebounding prices will not show up in profit figures until at least 2 quarters down the road...

Luxury hotels are fighting for still small numbers of tourists in KL willing to pay lofty prices amid a glut of hotel rooms(Istana Hotel down the road already shuttered). No dividend. Foreign fund intent on clearing OUT still has 30mil shrs left. Net debt co. De facto recession has already set in(witness the amount of vacant office & commercial space). Unjustified premium to NTA....why pay more than $2 for this falling knife?

Some ppl only come here & hee-ho-haa when the price has already almost doubled from 50c to 90c. A small minority like me & dragon328 were here busily shopping when it was still in the mid to high 50c range in Oct...that's what separates the true winners from the wannabes.

Contrary to one siasuay slanderer-cum-contrarian indicator on this thread, I am very much still invested in YTL despite paring my 6-yr-accumulated stake at the highest prices since 2020 & taking some well-deserved & earned profit to diversify into more undervalued, more immediate dividend payers. Also putting more into Japan, where YTL is dual-listed: my Mitsubishi Estate, purchased @ ¥‎1,638 less than a month ago, is already decently in paper gain. Unlike YTL, THEY bought their central Tokyo land in 1896... :)

On Thursday I will be attending Petron's physical shareholder meeting for the first time since 2019, revelling in the $1,351.92 profit earned from trading the stock in '22, the small trading profit this year & the large dividend to be earned in '23 =)

Ultimately, it's a Filipino co. not a Malay co.

As a testament to my long-term confidence in Petron, I bought back what I SOLD @ 5...for 4.84-4.86 this morning.

But the volumes are humongous...need huge foreign firepower to move the stock price by even 1c now the hopeless local funds are in full retreat & retailers are impotent.

A lot of short-covering @ 92c noted heading into the close...

Not out of the woods...local funds too poor to buy the hundreds of millions dumped by exiting foreign funds...eg Aberdeen in Shangri-la, others from Hap Seng, many others from PBBank etc etc etc

It was pretty entertaining how some who must have taken huge speculative positions yesterday tried to engineer a rally with some fictitious rumours in the wee hours of the morning about how the outage wasn't really anything serious & maybe even made up by shortists to try to save their OWN aSSes lol

Even the solid net cash OKA can drop from 78 to 64 after the bad result(-18%), what more an indebted overcapitalised cyclical co. like this?

KLCI is just a couple of points away from its Oct 13 low of 1372.57, when the Dow & Hang Seng were at their most bearish, several thousand points lower than where they are trading now. A little comforted that my partial exit was higher than the average transacted price 2day.

Have confidence in Petron...no confidence in the reliability of M'sai-n cowboy mkt. Even the most solid, well-managed stocks can drop 6-10% per day...that's foreign voting with their feet for you!

Nothing wrong with buying @ this level...just be willing to HOLD for 3 yrs or else the broker earns the most .

Some more tomorrow T + 2 for 267 million tickets & Friday(which has consistently been bearish in '22 till now) is T +3 for that huge volume & T + 2 for today's volume of over 100 million for sure...

Dividend announcement end of August. Many ppl have no patience to wait so long. End of Aug result also may be nowhere near as stellar as May's results.

Even the most stable OKA finally lose $ & tumbles. Luckily I SOLD all above 75c months ago.

Bought more Petron @ 4.52-4.53, reaccumulating the shares I SOLD for $6.3725 avg last yr. This time I have 12 lots instead of 8 last yr.

=) 2nd round coming...2nd year in a row of Petron profits cooking =)

Fortunately, I shifted some of the funds from my partial YTL sales into Petron @ 4.53, which is performing beautifully... =) Those who have less than a 3-year holding timeframe for this stock, better not touch...

M'sian & S'pore markets are half dead & zombie like coz funds & syndicates already sustained heavy injuries when the speculatives dropped 80-99% from their '20-'21 goreng highs. That's why I'm steering my premium clients to Japan where the major billionaires & fund managers are playing & we've a fairly good shot at milking their money...

His hero & distant relative kelvin tan already stopped buying because he saw the writing on the wall i.e CPO dropping back to the $2-3.3k level.
