Foreigners haven't done SELLing yet...dividend already gone for the next 8 months & CPO tumbling. No catalysts to go up so sellers will take charge. EPF buying is always a good contrarian signal plus controlling family also absent from the mkt.

Another stock that I bought for the DIVIDEND in March @ 20.5c & forgot about...then look by chance & see a paper profit!🤗

Honey, you're deluded, jaded & absolutely NUTS! I've been trading stocks while you were still in diapers & have been trading profitably in & out of PetDag since my first purchase here in May 2014...have been a shareholder long enough to collect five $100 door gifts & plenty of meals even before Covid. Have been eyeing this since it broke $19 & just waiting for a good entry...and now I have the satisfaction of re-entering cheaper than you with thousands of profits already collected!🤗😘

Fortunately, I ameliorated my 'stuck' position in Eksons from 2021 by averaging down 1/5 of my original position @ 61c just b4 ex-divvy, lowering the average to 68.6c so was able to SELL for a profit using a low commission trading a/c even after bagging the rare dividend ! 973 days of trading gains in a row!! 🤗

After buying @ 34.86c in Jun '21 & selling some @ 36.5c in Oct that yr, I STILL hv 10 lots left now!

Looks like by the time the deadline for the exchange arrives, Great Eastern would already be swallowed by OCBC & the original agreement has to be significantly amended to reflect the much enlarged cash pile & the corresponding reduction in the equity asset column.

If anything, the Great Eastern saga has probably emboldened surin, who's probably thinking : "If a deep-pocketed bank can be mean-spirited & cheap, so can I!"

What a WEEK! 55****+ in earnings thanks to Great Eastern, YTL & today, Japan Power Fastening! The 8th best week of my 30 years in the market as well as the BEST JUNE in those 30 years!!!(1994-2024) A bonus is that I had thought I had SOLD all my CMSB earlier this year but today's dividend credit made me aware that I still had 1 lot left...a nice thing to have with the price hitting 52-week highs!🤗

Now that it already ex-dividend, with no more coming for more than 4 months, I think it will go down to at least 6.50 in the next few days. I myself already EXIT-ed yesterday @ $6.87 after bagging the latest dividend, refusing to be trapped like I was for 8 years from 2014-2022!

Lucky me : Q @ 20.02 on a whim this morning & bought 500 shares, switching from Orient which I SOLD @ the open match 6.87 on ex-dividend day!

Sooo...the other takeover target Great Eastern finally settles down to the exact takeover price of S$25.60, 2 days after I SOLD my shares slightly above that to lock in my 46% capital gain on top of 3 divvies. Those who chased shortly after the takeover announcement on May 11th up to a high of S$26.40 counting on OCBC to raise its offer closer to 0.8 x fair value are caught in a dilemma: suspension coming on Jul 13th as the predator's stake finally breaches 90% on the 3rd takeover attempt in the last 20 years.

Bursa unlike SGX has no 'fair & reasonable' exit offer b4 delisting provision so trade carefully here!

BOUGHT more Panamy @ $20.08 to enjoy the 6.7% dividend yield by the beginning of 2025, one of the HIGHest, if not the highest, among blue chips!

After OCBC refused to raise their offer for my Great Eastern to even 0.8 of the embedded value, though there is a ray of hope still in the SGX listing rules that isn't available here, looking at a 2023 takeover precedent that saw a final raised offer even after the 90% level was exceeded, I would put the probability of a raised offer here @ 40%.

Under SGX rules, using Boustead Projects as an example in '23, even if 90% reached, in order to DELIST the co. the offeror needs to make a FAIR & REASONABLE offer to remaining holders. In Boustead's case, the initial 90c offer was raised to S$1.18 BUT the early acceptances did NOT benefit from the final raised offer.
