CharlesT: India really have a problem of delay and inefficiency of doing infra-structure projects. But not so with Vietnam. In fact, Vietnam is highly efficient in doing infra-structure projects. 2 nations got totally different issues regarding power generation business. Communist governments are very careful and efficient when come to dealing with power plant.

1 more thing. You can't trust the "target price" set by the Public Bank research report. Wait another few quarters, you will see the target price increasing again.

By reading those un-intelligent comments, now I know why 90% of people loss money in the stock market.

MFCB 80% owned Don Sahong hydroelectric dam can generate 260 MW, the cost of this project is USD500m. 80% equity only, which is only 208MW. Compared with Jaks 40% 1200MW power plant, which is 480MW! In the MFCB 2016 annual report page 11, the statement: "We believe that the Group’s financial performance and quality of earnings will improve significantly when the Don Sahong Hydropower Project commences commercial operation in year 2019. The earnings from this project will contribute a long term steady income stream to the Group, enabling it to take on business opportunities that arise and create long term sustainable growth for shareholders." Take note, MFCB only got 208MW capacity, still can improve significantly; how much more for Jaks 480MW!

cost of IPP = USD1868.5m
assuming to make profit to double the cost = USD3737m, divide 25 years, 1 year profit should be USD149.48m. KYY sales of USD530m per year, so profit margin is 28%. 40% of USD149.48m, with current exchange rate of 3.89, = RM232.43m

Also, investing approach like always looking for free cash flow, past history earnings ALONE, also cannot win big, like kcchongnz methods. He can't accept company not having free cash flow for few years (during huge aggressive capital expansion) and past poor earnings. Investing share is investing FOR FUTURE!

If you follow the investing style of TTB news letter or Icap approach, you can't make big score. Why? Simple, because kiasi and kiasu. Like Warren Buffet said, make a correct decision, sailang the correct stock and you will win big! If you invest like Icap, say 50% cash holding, stock a 5%, stock b 4%, stock c 7%, ...., you can't win big.

O come on folks! Many of you are missing the whole big picture of Jaks! You must understand the upcoming IPP which is worth USD1.87b is going to change the fundamental of Jaks forever! That is why KYY and his wife are literally turning Jaks INTO THEIR OWN company now! The whole BOD of Jaks are working for them now! I think this is the first time for them to be the No. 1 shareholder in the public listed company. I also have studied the whole IPP carefully, and take note the "extremely calculative nature" of Chinese partner, they won't fund the whole project if the project is not going to make A LOT OF MONEY. Personally I also sailang into Jaks. I trust Jaks will make me a multi mil in few years time. NOW IS THE TIME!
