I just take very cautious step since it is a ACE counter, not in main market. And, we do not have real institutional investors in ACE market.

In general, institutional investors (long term investor) are not allow to invest in ACE market. Some small fund may be allowed. You never see EPF and public unit trust or insurance company fund buy ACE counter.

If you believed the people enter few days ago and make the price surge to current level, then they are not long term investor. Better watchout. If they want to exit in short term, expect some downward pressure on price.

If AMEDIA set the warrant exercise price "in-the-money", for example exercise price is 10 cents.

And, now assume the share price is 20 cents.

Usually the warrant will worth not more than 10 cent. Why, because people take the risk (10-day) to convert a warrant to a share. It generally will be priced less than 10 cents with 10%-30% discount.

This is not example for amedia.

Then I am not sure how to price the value of amedia.

Assume the shares price stable at 0.18 at ex-date.

The value of warrant is a tricky part to figure out. Since, in theory it has no value at all.

The excercise price is 25 cent. This means you have to pay 25 cent to buy the share.

Then would you pay 10 cent to buy a warrant at execercise price at 25 cent? If yes it means you pay 35 cents to buy a share (in theory).

Another question is that if the difference between warrant price and shares is just 8 cent, why not just buy the share?

Yes, a discount to warrant ex. is normal because someone has to take the time risk (10-day) to convert.

There must be a certain price difference betweem warrant and share. If warrant price worth 10 cent, the only possible scenario shares rise very high. If share price is just 0.17, the warrant price will hardly be 0.10. I just think no one want to buy this warrant at this price while you can pay little more for share.

It takes 10 days to convert warrant. Don't fall in trap to buy warrant when peice suddenly rise. Because it can just down significantly in few mins.

Still no update since the announcement. Really bad. A bad news near Chritmas and new year will spoil many people mood.

From trading pattern we see huge buying volume up at 0.455-->0.46. But selling volume sudden increase BIG again. This deter the rise. Many are taking profit when price move higher.

In normal amedia case, many people would jump in with the big volume. But this time is an exception.

They will sell in short term if this is their objective. When they sell, a disaster. Today price seems good enough to sustain at this moment.

Big chance for a discount at ex-date. What is worse the ex-date is on 26 Dec. All traders (in U.S.) on holiday these two weeks. Lack of trading interest is a concern. Even normal investors like us usually off at that week. But for those enter less than 0.40, not likely a concern for long term. But if enter at recent high is another issue.

Having said that, anything can happen. Just like one day before approval of EGM, the price was still 0.38-0.395. With the ex-date announcement, it goes to 0.475 last two days. This is amedia.

Chung is talking about theoretical opening price. wt222 is taking the price people willing to buy. Different things. Just like IPO theoretical opening price and the positve/ negative gap.

Let's see tomorrow if we have opening gap again.

If there is buying at open price at ex date, better sell immediately. Can you imagine one get bonus issue and warrant a day before ex date, but at the ex-date you are willing to buy at theoretical opening price. I wont rule out that.

I expect weaker trading interest as Christmas and new year are near the corner. Buying up is important. Hopefully big player already dumped all the stocks.

I never agree the TA sell call . I have my own tp.

TA securities had a sell call when price is 0.395. The target price is 0.17 after bonus & warrant issue. Personally I dont agree with TA call. But just remember the call pose a limit price range for some traders.

If you bought below 0.37 and long term investor, then you can consider to hold it for long term.

But if you are short term investor, just watch closely. The price can shoot up/ down very fast. I remember last time the price shoot/dropped 15% in just few mins. Better make your own judgement.

I guess many ppl here enter at the price less than 0.4. The return is very rewarding in short term. For those enter at price 0.46, not so rewarding.

Depending on your investment objective. Many short term investor may already exit. If you are long term investor and think to hold for few years for >100% return, then you must have gut to hold it. Amedia is the stock rised form 20 cents to RM1.2 and then 30cent again. Strong heart is a must for amedia. Make your own choice.

If the worst case scenario occurs plus in the near election time, I wonder it can sustain previous price before demerger announcement. Analyst believes MPHB is committed to proceed. Just dont know when it can be done. This is the major issue.

It seems that short term investors are checking exit date and high price. I think long term will reap the most rewarding part in long term.

From trading pattern I can see big selling in >3200 units today. I don't know if the big fish want to depress the price first and accumulate. It does not make sense since they face difficulty to collect shares back when good news emerges(demerger perfectly on track), unless they sell to own accounts - I think unlikely since illegal. And, maybe some hedge fund just follow their exit strategy. Big players are also buying but very much less than selling volume. The risk is high now. A sudden bad news will likely cause more selling, a good news cause otherwise. Difficult to predict now.

If price goes up, bonus issue and warrant are good. If price goes down, both will be worth less. Clearly, most of us think amedia have good future in long term although short term still rely on current demand trend.

For those who want to convert the warrant to share, low excercise price is good. For those who own the share, low exercise limit the upside potential ..... Overall, it is good for long term investors.

I m not saying it should sell. I just say TA securities say sell at 0.395. Better don chase the high at sudden high if you don intend to hold for long term. It can kill if play contra.
