tomorrow might still be hovering around today's kind of price, selling for raya will still persist, plus the fact that some may have gone for raya holidays; but anything can happen with this kind of stock, i personally wouldn't know; i wish i m a very big player who can move the stock price, perhaps another 3 - 5 years i will ha ha

for those who want cash before raya, they'll have to sell before 5 pm today, cos money will go in to their bank account by this friday. otherwise, if they sell after today, money will only go in after raya; so 'heavy' profit taking today la

stonenut, true very true, and when u ride thru the cycle of ups and downs, u'll earn pretty good loose change
2014-07-21 15:20 | Report Abuse
even if it's a big correction, nothing to worry about if one is holding sumatec for medium/long term. this counter sure will go far one, mark my word
2014-07-21 15:13 | Report Abuse
i m going in again!! u notice stonenut, at 3.02, tons of shares were sold at .425, force selling perhaps buy brokerhouse for those contra players who didnt clear by themselves b4 12.30 noon. i just sold for loose change earlier at .425 sen, will go in again when price dips further

i m not a contra player stonenut; but i m what i call an opportunist and at the same time a trader; as i said in my previous posting, i have 2 strategies: 2 accounts - trading account and margin account. my margin account is for long term where i pumped in hundred thousand ++ of $$$ into a given hot share counter. but for trading, i play for loose change, earning from a few hundred dollars per day or sometime a couple of thousand dollars for a 'kill'. all it takes is just a movement of even half a sen or 1/2/3 sen, 'ride along' with T+3, T+4 if u know what i meant.. and when u add all these so called loose change for a given month, it becomes big, sikit2 lama2 jadi bukit, but the best is always the long term strategy (margin account); buy low sell high, everytime sell can earn easily 10K - 20K - 30K, but one needs high capital to do this, remember the saying, money makes money

i've completely exited NG and pumped all my money into mas shares on 3 July & completely sold all my mas shares on 16 july at 23 sen; now shifted all my money to sumatec; may come back to NG but not for the time being

alanleong, why u want to by at 0.435 when u can even now buy at 0.43 seller's price. i think what u r asking is whether u can still buy at this level of price right? the answer is yes and no la; if for contra, may be risky, but for short/medium term no prob la. my strategy is of 2-fold. first strategy: trading; bought at .395 exit at .425; the second strategy: accummulation for long term, bought between .395 and .42 price range

eventhough i've dumped all my Nexgram shares & bought sumatec; i still believe this counter will move one 1 day. the only question is, when?. u c, in order 2 move, a couple of things have to happen; a)'stimulus' or announcements (like sumatec's series of announcements, etc) for the counter to move; b) big players/sharks to push. u c, as at now, there r other counters be gorenged/to be gorenged. sumatec, etc. etc. perhaps, nexgram's turn will come. but for now, i m very much into sumatec, riding on the upswing..

we shud respect ayam tua for his correct prediction, high between 9 am to 10 am and low between 10 am - 11 am. what's next?, well, it's anybody's guess. but i agree with fam jenny's comment, it's trending higher instead of going down, this is just a breather

u c izoklse, about a couple of days ago, between 8.30 am to 9 am, people were queuing already about 2 - 2.5 sen higher than the previous day's close, and it opened at 9 am with tenths of thousands bought at 24 sen / 24.5 sen before it went down to 23.5/23/22.5 sen; i accumulated at 23 sen/22.5 sen; strong support seems to b at 22.5 sen; today it closed at 23 sen; i will go in again early tomoro morning. get ready for more upswing in price in days to come!

obviously MAS is now the new darling of Bursa speculators; it's been in top 10 trading counters for many2 days already; me too have pumped in lots of $$$ into this counter, every 0.5 sen increment in price will earn me a couple of $$$K already; cant wait for NEXGRAM anymore too slow; might switch back to NEXGRAM after my 'mission' with MAS is done. remember, when it's still speculative news, price will typically be ascending, bearing any unforeseen circumstances

obviously this counter brings a lot of pain financially to many investors who probably have lost a lot of $$$, so comments posted here have to be more discreet and objective instead of being personal in nature

same, i used to frequent many outlets, but the service is a big let down, partly bcos they employ many foreigners, not local, and their service is not very good; mamak restaurants provide better service, i only go once in a while only now whenever i crave for white coffee, other than that, i give oldtown a miss

tornado, 10 years is a long time, but until today, i m still licking my wound of loosing 300K just on this stock; i m re-producing the remaining story on seal from the star's article:
In June 2005 the same year three Penang-based individuals emerged as substantial shareholders in the company, scooping up a combined 20% following a sharp drop in its share price.
One Tan Lam San obtained the bulk of the shares (8.6%), with the rest going to Fang Siew Poh (5.5%) and Koay Teng Choon (5.1%). Tan had ceased to be a substantial shareholder in 2006, but Fang and Koay have stayed on.
Bursa filings show that Fang, the sister of executive director Doris Fang, currently owns a direct and deemed interest of 19.41% in Seal. Koay, who also sits on the board, has increased his stake to 10.35%.
Under the new management led by Chuah, Seal went through a restructuring that saw it hive off Selayang Mall and land in Seberang Prai to pare down its debts to RM5mil from RM80mil.
Its timber operations were also scaled down tremendously.
Seal had disposed of one of its key timber units, Great Eastern Mills, to a third party several years ago.
Great Eastern Mills was eventually sold to a Kelantanese businessman. However, Seal is adamant that it will not exit its remaining timber operations.
The group holds concessions for over 5,500 acres of forest in Perak and 7,000 acres in Kedah, which it has begun logging.
Its timber business was loss-making in the 2013 financial year to the tune of RM5mil, mainly due to non-recurring write-offs and a settlement with trade unions, Doris explains.
Despite making hefty provisions, Seal’s timber arm raked in an operating profit of RM2.3mil.
Perhaps due to its size, Seal is easy to miss as a stock.
It has a share base of only 215.63 million shares, and an even smaller market capitalisation of RM138mil, based on Thursday’s closing price of 64 sen, which is near its best level in two years.
Its free float stands at 63.5%, or 136.8 million shares, Bloomberg data shows. The counter has traded between a one-year peak and trough of 66 sen of 40 sen.
At its current price, Seal is valued at six times earnings and only 0.8 times book. The company has not paid dividends since at least 1991, according to Bloomberg.

tssl74, hope this article from the Star answers your question to me:
WITH a host of legacy issues behind it, Seal Inc Bhd, which has its roots in the timber business, looks ready to make a clean break from the past.
The Main Market-listed Seal is still lumped under the “industrial products” category on the stock exchange, which its management is in no hurry to change.
Little is known about how ownership of Seal changed hands a decade ago, after the previous owner lost control to the current major shareholders.
Seal had also garnered a dubious reputation circa 2004-2005 for being a played-up stock. Past reports indicate that Seal was a “casualty” of unusual trading activities in May 2005, which the company was at a loss to explain.
Its shares had plunged 79% in three days, wiping out RM174mil from its market value. It didn’t help that Seal had RM200mil in accumulated losses and liabilities that exceeded its assets.
