normally, when a company do a rights issue, i will first view the financial statements. If the company itself is good, then the rights issue should be okay. But if the company is a loss-making one, or having cash flow problems, i will avoid it. The proceeds that got from the right issue will most likely dry up very fast..

This is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). All listed companies must follow GAAP to compile the financial statements.
