poor result. how far can they go just depending on these seed expellers, yet paying so much divvy and director's fees? but wait, they're venturing into plantations with sokor gemilang? how big is that plantation again?

broker houses dont like UOA because it is stable and with predictable earnings, preferred by long-term investors. remisiers like volatile stocks they can make their money from.

such poor results, with puzzling explanation. and their best hope is still 'ulu' bandar bestari?

yup.. i often wonder too, if following buffets strategy would work well in the long run for bolehland's stocks.

soils in sarawak are mainly rocky/mountainous (inland) or swampy/peat (around the coast). yield projections need to take this into account. Anything above 15 mt/ha will be a big ask for this group, what more with the kind of management they have.
2014-02-24 17:15 | Report Abuse
let us see the production cost of this peat-planting group in relation to other plantation companies.

nobody will go to such great lengths and effort to promote a stock incessantly if his intention is just to 'share knowledge' or 'help others'. come on..

who to argue with jholow - investment billionaire and philantrophist in his twenties? even buffet wont stand a chance.

Might as well wish for money to fall from the sky, and then call it a 'target' under some 'conditions'. MUI was yesterday's news since 10 years ago. No point flogging a dead horse.

i could list another hundred counters i 'saw' also when they were trading low. anyone can. if you are so confident of this stock, no need to shout about it all over town. put all your life savings into it, and surely one day its 'value' will show, right?
what a waste of time you are.

which unit trusts give more than 20% annually? you mean, better than buffet?
2014-02-18 09:53 | Report Abuse
if it really has 'value' why are no institution buying it? why no share buy-back, since its already 'ocean-bottom'? you're the only one who sees its 'value'? what a joke.
2014-02-17 18:22 | Report Abuse
this is actually a good policy. nobody should have planted on peat in the first place. note that wilmar is being fair by clarifying that only new plantations will be affected. we should all buy wilmar and not all these land-grabbing, environmentally-damaging crony sarawak companies.

if you have some properties that are not yielding that great, and wish to unlock their values(while getting paid handsomely for managing them)- what would you do?
maybe, group them all under a reit? just a thought, just a thought..
