this reit does have some future potential, especially when farenheit and pavilion extension are injected. they also have damen usj and bukit jalil mall in the pipeline. all these however takes time and until then we probably wont see much of an upside.

even if EPF ends up with less than 5% they can always buy back the next day so whether or not they are a substantial owner at any one time does not matter at all. this is a good fundamental stock to keep for a long time.

one thing with reits is you dont have to second guess the profits as most of them are just fixed rental payments. without the fair valuation gain this stock looks justified with its PER of around 12. probably not much upside for the rest of the year, might further drop after ex-date due to the unexciting financial results.

investment in reits are for long-term divvy and stability (parking yor money). also there are major differences in retail, office, hospitality or industrial reits in terms of yield and growth. short term players looking for cap growth should not be in reits.

like the last time around, the price will be kept low before the announcement of the divvy reinvestment. this is because shares offered for DRIP will have to be lower than the 'base' price, e.g. last traded or average price.
in any case its not bad opting for this DRIP. you get to own more shares at a dicsounted price and without having to pay any fee. im all for it again.
