Geely has the management experience, financial muscle, distribution network, and technical expertise and therefore Geely will be in charge of everything about proton, regardless of the % ownership. That's the way China operates.

The moment drb/proton/govt. agreed to accept a fsp means M'sia has lost control of proton - which is the best thing since sliced bread!

This is a watershed event for drb/proton. It's a sign of revival for proton as a business. The short-term share price may not reflect this though.
