jason, although I cannot verify what you mentioned. signs do show this happen and still very much so. have a look at the fb groups primarily tending to buying and selling gloves, and ofc these people will get hentam really badly later on when nobody buys from them when the big glove companies are already sending out fraud alerts on their website and also other channels.

Now, instead of thinking of investing TG as primarily a glove company, if you intend to go long, ask yourself this question, would you invest in a company specializing in an array of different rubber/healthcare related products, in Malaysia where they are just primed to do so. I predict that the next factories to be built in Thailand and Indonesia as they had expressed the intention of owning their own rubber plantations to reduce volatility of rubber pricing and shortages. Another good reason to build factories/plantations over there would be the wider sales channel besides lower overheads. In fact, Vietnam is one of the cheaper places for this, so Lim must have this in mind oso, assuming he is a visionary. Then again, he actually built factories before pandemic started, so I don't know, everything seems to be just lined up for him.

Then again, better for them to just their name to TG, instead of TopGlove, must nicer sounding for a more diversified business.

Dear jason, the supernormal profits from many glove companies will indeed shrink in some years later when oversupply becomes an issue, however the process of building factories will take minimum a year or two. So, the smaller players can expect their supernormal profit to be capped with lower volume of sales. as many are aware the the TG factory in vietnam will be operational by next month and the previous Aspion is now starting to show better results. So they are technically better equipped to benefit out of the situation. If they truly want to become a Fortune 500 company by 2035, I expect them to take advantage of this situation like right NOW and diversify their operations in other products other than just gloves (which they seem to be doing but for now I expect the profit from those channel to be very low)

Regarding the ban on US, it is huge and if it reverts, indeed ho ho ho, money is raining.
