Hi Connie, May you help on my academic question below? Thanks in advance.

Connie, After completion of an uptrend 5 waves, may the downward correction A be of the same magnitude as the upward W5? If the answer is positive, what will magnitude of the upward B likely be? Can't get a clue from Balan's book. Hope you may share. :)

Good morning Connie, Christine (by the way, haven't seen Christine around for a while) and everyone at this forum.

Capt TM, Happy Birthday. Wishing you good health and lots of happiness.

Capt TM, Noted with thanks. In fact, many commented on Japan's last Friday move saying that it is suicidal and will adversely affect Asia. Anyway market is not predicable and for some reasons (or excuses) it may U turn suddenly. I learnt a hard lesson in October. I am reading everything available and still try to learn and get a glimpse from the charts.

Capt TM, thank you for your advice. Will do my homework now.

Capt TM, What I gathered from you told us last week and today is that we are in uptrend Major 3 and that recent hitting above 1844 confirmed now we are in W5 of Major 3 on the LONG TERM CHART. This W5 may last for 30+ trading days and go beyond 1896. Downward Major 4 on the LONG TERM CHART will then follow say in early 2015 (for how long? And until how much below 1766? another 100 points?)
Please correct me if I am still getting it wrong.
My confusion is I am still struggling in gelling the above with the downward 5 waves Connie explained. Stupid isn't it? Have a nice evening. :)

Hi Connie, Read your dilogue with Capt TM today on KLCI. That was my confusion when you told me that the upleg is a W4 of a downward 5 waves while Capt TM refers to a upward waves and now confirmed a W5 of major 3. Will carry on reading your discussion on the side and learn more. :)

Capt TM, Thanks for your advice. Totally agree that it makes a lot of sense explaining the past by applying EW. However predicting the future is a very different story. Will have to resist subjectiveness and greed and set stop loss. Have a good day ahead.

Capt TM, will watch out to your expected 5 of mjr 3 objective after you have confirmed the trend. Good night.

Capt TM, Thank you for walking me through. Now I understand much better what 4-up meant. (In other words, if the 4 of mjr 3 has not completed, there will be further downside before the actual 5 of mjr 3 upleg comes into picture.) Really appreciate your kind guidance and patience.

Capt TM, Thank you for your kind words. Honestly I have been staring at the KLCI long term and short term charts for the past 2 and half hours trying to digest what you and Connie had told me. I am stuck at how the sub-wave up 4 of the down W3 (short term/medium term?) could fit into an up wave major 3. I must have missed something and am going back to the Robert Balan book again.
Duit, Seems you understood Capt TM's message well. Would you mind to share?

Capt TM and Connie,
Thank you very much for the replies from both of you. Appreciate that very much.
I am reading your discussions (and learning EW at the same time) trying to figure out where does KLCI stand within the timeframe of 1) next few days 2) next few weeks and 3) next few months. To be very honest, I am still not sure whether we are trending down (5 waves down sequence) or trending up (up trend and bullish).
Connie, are your today advice "upleg w5 within major 3 (meaning sw5 within w3!)" referring to different things comparing with your advice on 27/10 "downleg W3 with 5-wave sequence (1 down 2 up 3 down 4 up 5 down)!! so we are now riding '4-up'"?
I am so sorry for my stupidity and stubbornness. Not trying to be funny but hoping to clear the doubt in my mind.
My apologies again to Capt TM and Connie sifus.

Connie, An academic question when I read the past few days post and got a bit confused. It appears Capt TM on 21/10 and 27/10 were talking about a uptrend 5 waves. If you don't mind, please advise. (I know I should post the question to Capt TM direct but he may not want to answer a kindergarten student's question!)

good morning....klci..its too early to jump into the conclusion that current uptrend is the 1st upleg of W5 within major 3 on the long term.On a less bullish scenario,m taking it as the 1st upleg of 4th consolidation phase where the w3 which actually started on 23rd oct 2014 from 1796.There wont be much downward correction to be seen once it hits 1826 towards 1835ard(min target for w3) from now.The crucial res zone, also an upside target for med term is at 1854-58 area where rough waves, deeper downward correction,r expected to be seen once reached.

Good morning...klci..don't u think its time to c a minor correction after a sharp rally from low of 1767?The 1st upleg(wave 1) shud end at 1809-1812,based on my calculation,n,the 2nd leg down shud hold abv 1796 or at worst 1788 for the next more powerful n lasting upleg named W3 which is expected to run thru this month with target as high as 1826 MINIMUM!!!!m I DREAMING!!!Lets c how it goes after... Connie, KLCI has hit 1835. Does it mean the painful 5-down is immediately in front of us? If this is the case, are we looking a 5-down up to say 1725?

Dear Duit, thank you for your advice on Hovid. On face of it, it appears I am in a case of when to cut loss instead of when to make big. Thanks again.

Connie, Thanks a lot. Will try to lock in profit/cut loss around 1835 level. Will look out for your and Capt TM advice when the main W4 comes and try to trade a bit to make back some of the monies lost.

Connie, Got it. As a beginner learning EW, I am only at the 5 waves up kindergarten learning stage. :(
For this case, that means we are on a 5 waves down trend (that W4 top will be lower than W1 lowest?) thus getting further and further away from 1900? So overall we are in a bearish situation trending down? Hope you won't mind to teach.

Connie, So we are now in a up wave W3 and within which we are at a down wave SW4? Where is the SW4 heading and what will the SW5 be like thereafter? My apology if I ask stupid questions.

hello jm678, we are on a subwave 4 of downleg wave 3 now !!!

Duit, Appreciate very much your encouragement. There is one counter I am not sure whether you like to talk about it (no worries just ignore me if you don't want to). I had a fair bit of Hovid bought at average 0.465. Is it still on your radar? The major shareholder sold few million shares (and warrants) in the past few weeks though the price did go up after that. At one point the FDA approval was on the card but it was sold down when the short term production capacity was maximised.

Duit, I am fine. Thank you. Have been away for a while. Probably made the same mistake like many beginner without protecting profits as advised by the sifus and suffered huge paper loss in the past few weeks until no eye see. Hope may close the gap this time round.

Connie, I am catching up the conversations here for the past two weeks. Need your advice. When Capt TM talked with you on the trend of KLCI and waves we are in, in the nutshell, where are we now? Is it a up wave or down wave? It seems you are talking about a W4 but upleg? It is too much and a bit confused for a beginner. Please help.

jm678 ... yes, i do see 1.93 as a b correction and is now unfolding c :( and i also see it as a zigzag pattern so the low of c shud be lower than the low of a !!! let's reconfirm with the wave expert cap tm whether it is abc in wave 4 or abc after wave 5 :( :( :(
2014-10-01 09:23 | Report Abuse
Connie, Good morning. Thank you for your advice on Scientx and Dialog. Still have much to learn on wave count. For Dialog, I was subjectively hoping for a W4 instead of ABC. Do you see the 1.93 on high on 5 Sept the end of correction B and will the correction be very deep? May have to consider taking profit if so.

May I trouble you on one more chart? Is Dialog now in W4? If this is the case, how much the pull back would look like?
Many thanks and good night.

Connie, Thank you for your advice on AsiaPac. I did read your 14/9 and much earlier comments. I "was hoping" that it was still in some kind of W3.
Does an "extended W3" refer to anything more than 1.618 times? For an extended W3, are we looking at a W5 of approximately one time of W1 (say targeting 0.75/0.38)? Trying to learn bit by bit :)
Good night. Sweet dream.

jm678 ... hmmm so asiapac failed to break strong res 0.33 and slides all the way :( :( jm678; if i am not mistaken, current wave cud be a W4 correcting an extended W3 !! in theory, W4 pulls back about 23.6% of W3 extension .. which means approx 0.30. but i think she may drop to 0.295/0.290 level :( :(
