Actually in the first place I thought if I hold further I can see PMetal go higher (my kindergarten EW knowledge cannot identify the W3/W5 here!)

Connie, I have some PMetal in hand. What is a good exit point for the b pull up? Should be lower than the recent high RM7.46 I presume. (Was it the wave 5 top?)

Connie, RM1+/- is a lot for PMetal. Where is it heading from your chart? Will the chart be considered "manipulated" with today extraordinary trading?

Christine, Abric is 100% as you anticipated. 0.665 is done and don't know can hold or not. Is 0.58 a strong support or there is probably further downside? After selling the business, the counter is going to be under PN17 with a special div of 30 sen to be declared.

Good morning Connie, Christine and everyone in here. From the news, Hong Kong yesterday dropped in the afternoon when a new company China LNG Group Limited went down 70% after going up 2.4 times in the past few months. Others then followed. For U.S., Apple and Yahoo led the drop then tech stocks followed. It worked nicely for those bet on index down at the juncture of month end close.

Profitman, Good evening.
Actually SS661M's suggestion is very beneficial for many of the newbies like me. As you said it will be too tedious to give charts everytime when TCB give advice. Will TCB consider to give more details at "Stock in Focus" on the analysis and how the concluding advice being arrived at? Stage analysis is widely engaged by TCB. Including the relevant MA line in the Fitters and Tek Seng charts with some narratives will definitely help.
Please consider. Good night.

On face of today announcement, 155 million will be invested (appeared to be invested by the joint venture) with a 15% service fee to be received (based on investment amount or refund to tourists? It appears to be based on future tourists' refund that no projection given). As usual, the Company's announcement didn't show clearly the financial effect of the project. @Cweed and many other friends here who are very positive must know more details. Please explain.

A quick calculation shows that if other LA holders convert 1.72 million more LA to mother shares, Mayland may convert its remaining 100.371 million LA without touching the 33% mark that triggers mandatory general offer. There is a possibility that the 1.72 million being achieved tomorrow (the last trading date before the ex-div date) and seeing Mayland converting the remaining LA at the same time.
Will Mayland has more time to get the dividend because of the 25 September last entitlement date? Trust the Company Secretary may advise.
If Mayland becomes the 32.99% substantial shareholder, hope it may employ the huge cash resources sitting on in the best manner and work hard to bring the Company to a new high. After 500 million (done already on Friday), the next objective must be increasing the market cap to 1 billion.
All the best Land & General Berhad!

Also, The Company's annual turnover is more than 550 million. 155 million / 5 years = 31 million per year actually is an increment of 6%. Unless the profit margin is extremely high, as the MD said, the Pupa New Guinea project may carry more weight for the future.

@vinvin
Thank you for pointing out that the info was provided by Hitman and not you. The question remains why it appears the Company MD seems not knowing the approval when The Star interviewed him and there is no announcement on this supposedly price sensitive information.

Thank you for the link. I read it when @Vinvin posted it yesterday. That is precisely why I put up the questions. We should invest with clear understanding.

I posted the following question at the i3 IRIS forum. Should be grateful if any friend here may advise.
"From @vinvin's posting of the Finance Ministry's acceptance and @speakup's posting of the news from The Star for Iris getting the TRS project, I have unanswered questions hoping one of the participants here may enlighten.
1) Until now there is no announcement from the Company for getting this project. Isn't it an obligation for a bursa listed company to disclose price sensitive information as soon as the Company knows and no later than the beginning of the next trading day? For now on face of it, it looks like everybody knows but not the Company. Alternatively, the Ministry has made the decision but has not informed the Company though someone was able to get to that webpage posted by @vinvin?
2) According to The Star's news on Saturday, the MD said announcement should be made by end October [by the Government] otherwise there would not be enough time for implementation???
I feel more comfortable to hold and/or buy tomorrow with these answers. Kindly advice."

CassYeE, Please read Psd57's advice above or the made simple version from me above.
In a nutshell, share price should not be affected by the "capital reduction" which is only an accounting adjustment. Share price will be up or down because of something else such as people like or don't like rights issue and overall market sentiment.

CassYeE, Nobody has the crystal ball to see the Monday price. There are different chartists trying to predict, some say up and some say down. The others are analysing and posting the known facts so that all the bloggers are well informed. What essentially different before and after yesterday 5 p.m. is now we know there will be a 3 for 2 rights issue at 10 sen each. You'll have to judge from what you read. (Actually the above apply to KTB as well as other shares).

CityTrader,
Let me try to share with you about the KTB corporate exercise announced yesterday.
1) The Company incurred losses in the past year and this will be cancelled off with capital reduction. (Bookkeeping-wise, debit share capital and credit accumulated loss brought forward.) These are only accounting entries adjusting past events and will not affect the net asset value and the business of the Company. Well informed shareholders should not expect this to affect the share price.
2) The company will, through the 3 for 2 rights issue (i.e. you will get 3 rights shares for each 2 shares you have), raise 60 million for working capital. The 74.5% major shareholder has confirmed he will take up his portion thus RM48 will be from the guy who had already paid RM40 million for the 64 million Affin shares at 62.5 sen each. MIDF has underwritten the balance rights shares if any of the 25.5% shareholders do not want to take up.
3) The announcement is quite explicit that the rights may be converted into mother shares at 10 sen each, a deep discount of 60% from the average share price.
4) When the company changes the par value of the shares from 50 sen to 10 sen during the capital reduction exercise, the Company will have sufficient authorized share capital (without incurring more stamp duties presumably) facilitating the rights issue and future issue of new shares.
Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Connie TQVM. You know I am blurred and was trying my luck. From your experience, how much retracement from W3 do you think is likely, 0.382, 0.5 or 0.618?
As to Frontkn, I really learned something from you that I never thought of the possibility of W3SW4 vs W4. It had retraced from 0.2 to 0.15 sen and the MACD is now getting close to 0. Do you form a better opinion?
Good night and have a nice day ahead.
P.S. I read that you are back onto the KTB bus. So I am travelling north together with you, Master Hawk and many forumers here. Enjoy the scenery and have a nice trip.

Connie, Thank you in advance your further advice on Talamt if any. As a newbie to TA, I cannot be greedy. Identifying 1 to 5 and not to mix up with abc is already very taxing. BTW, may you share how you trade apart from relying on EW? Understood you don't use FA too much.

Connie Good evening. Thank you for your advice.
For Talamt (don't laugh if I say something stupid :( I am trying very hard to learn), if
I is from 0.04 to 0.08,
II is from 0.08 to 0.06 and
III is from 0.06 to 0.14,
then I should "anticipate" the IV be up to 0.11 (38.2% of III and 150% of II) and the V be up to 0.17 (being 0.618 of price travelled from I to III and also 1.618 of I)?
As to Frontkn, I am still staring at the chart. Hope you don't mind if I consult you again.
Good night.

Connie, Good afternoon. Not going for lunch yet? :)
May I have your advice to Frontkn and Talamt? What wave they are in?
I read about 2/3 of Balan's EW Principle Applied to Fx markets. Still reading and thank you for giving the direction. It throw a lot of light for a total beginner. I start to learn how to count waves. That is why when I ask your advice on the two shares, I also ask about the present wave. Hope you may mentor. Have a nice weekend.

Connie and Yong, Good morning. While you are discussing EW at advance level, as a newbie just started to read about EW, may I ask is there any advice on identifying the waves. It looks so easy when the experts gave you the chart with the lines and 1, 2, 3...abc already there. However, it is not so straight forward for a newbie. I believe there must some objective rules to follow instead of by ones impression or subjective opinion. Thank you in advance. (Please ignore me if I am asking omething which is a trade secret:))

According to the 2014 Annual Report, Mayland owns 103.4m mother shares and 240.4m LA. If it does not want to trigger a MGO, it would probably convert its LA after the enlarged share capital (taking into account others conversion) goes over 802m. As of 5 Sept, the number of mother shares was 762m i.e. 40m to go. Just wondering whether Mayland is on the sideline watching the progress in order to decide to take or not to take the 2 sen dividend.

Seph. Thank you very much for your advice. My confusion was I said 1.4 billion shares taking into account the 282 million of Platinum Autumn S/B. Not sure about the implication of the warrants and the warrants owned by Platinum Autumn. In any case, the Salamander deal is almost done.

Seph good morning. I am in for Sona. Saw your comments that it is protected at 47 sen but not sure how this number is arrived. Kindly advise.
In the balance sheet of last quarter, I can see a set aside of 500+ million as long term liabilities, presumably this is the 90% of the IPO monies. If I take this as shareholders' fund and divide by the 1.4 billion shares, I only get about 39 sen.

LyyInvestor, WA carries a premium of 31.8% and WB 39.5%. There is a cost to pay for the longer life and it is a personal choice. 23.6 million WA and 39.4 million WB were issued respectively. To me the premiums are high. I would rather hold the mother shares if I like Seacera.
