The minimum threshold for acquisition of property by foreign interests has been raised to RM1 million per unit from RM500,000 previously, effective tomorrow, the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) in the Prime Minister’s Department said today.
In states other than the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, the actual enforcement date is subject to the respective state authority, the EPU said in a statement.
The unit said this measure was undertaken by the government to stabilise domestic property prices from excessive speculation and to enable local interests to acquire quality properties valued at less than RM1 million per unit, especially residential units.

Cut cost- use brain to do it. Most of the food is cook with oyster source and starch. Dogs food taste better. No need to be expensive. It can be simple and taste nice. I have taken SIA and food is fresh and tasty.

(檳城28日讯)永利行国际產业估价集团董事倪川鹏预计,2014年檳州的房地產交易量將出现下滑的现象。
他指出,这是因国家银行收紧贷款政策,外加檳州政府的打房政策所致,此外,根据近年数据,檳房地產成交量也逐渐下滑中。
倪川鹏今日出席2013年檳州国际產业展时指出,根据国家產业资讯中心(NAPIC)的数据显示,2011年与2012年比较,2011年檳州房地產总成交量为3万674宗,数额约77亿2000万令吉,至于2012年的总成交量为2万3266宗,数额为70亿9000万令吉,比较之下下降了24%。
他续说,至于2013年,因为2013年还未完,因此只能够以2013年上半年的数据为依据与2011年上半年及2012年上半年作比较。
他指出,在2011年上半年,檳州房地產成交量为1万3832宗,数额为33亿9000万,2012年上半年的成交量为1万1889宗,数额为34亿1000万令吉,至于2013年上半年的成交量为8547宗,数额为32亿6000万令吉。
他表示,以每年成交数额都下滑的现象来分析,预计2014年的檳州房屋成交量也会处于下滑的现象。

《金融时报》报道,包括亚洲航空(Airasia)在内的廉航业者,正持续蚕食新加坡航空和国泰等知名航空公司的市占。
根据研究机构澳洲航空中心,东南亚地区逾半数机位由廉航包办。相形之下,欧洲廉价航空易捷(easyJet)与Ryanair在欧盟的市占率仅40%。
载运量过剩竞争激烈
尽管成长亮眼,亚洲廉航业正遭遇难关,其中之一便是载运量过剩。例如,印尼狮航(Lion Air)向波音、空巴与ATR订购了550架飞机,外界质疑他们能否善用机队,以达成获利。
机场不堪负荷则是另一隐忧。香港里昂证券指出,雅加达机场每年只能运送2200万名旅客,但过去5年来国际旅客流量每年增长11.5%,导致去年该机场流量突破5000万人次。
新加坡航空中心分析师员索比说:“廉航成长潜力惊人,问题是载运量过剩,有些领域成长太快速。新客机和新航空纷纷林立,虽然前景乐观,竞争也变得很激烈。”
他指出,全球唯有东南亚地区订购的客机数高于服务的客机数。
近来知名航空公司也开始叩关廉航市场,且已取得约三分之一市占。

MAS doesn't stand a chance in the crowded aviation space, now that more than half of all traffic business are dominated by budget airlines. Even SIA and CX are struggling. I am worry that the rakyat will pick up the tab for just-announcend MAS aircrafts acquisition plan some years down the road again, just like how MAS hived off all aircrafts to Syarikat Kapalterbang Negara Bhd a few years ago
