Could be as RGB deal with slot machines placed in casino. Do note that the government has their shares at many of the casinos, will they disturb the casinos also?
That's the 'risk' one has to figure out before buying into RGB's growth story :)

Indeed from earning point of view RGB doesnt appear to be undervalued. But its ability of churning good cash flow make it quite attractive to me :)

iloveshare, try value it using DCF and you will get different result.

They need more 'high yield asset', no choice :)

Sleepy, I want to be conservative when making assumptions. I took the lowest FCF (RM28m) in past few years and discount it with high discount rate (12%) because RGB is small cap and involves in regulated (risky?) industry. Cash yield is FCF / Market Cap.
Anyway, these are just my assumptions :)
2016-10-12 12:09 | Report Abuse
What makes RGB attractive now is its ability to generate decent Free Cash Flow. It had alrdy generate RM29m in first half of FY2016.
FCF for FY2013 - FY2015 were ranging from RM28m - RM30m a year, >10% cash yield for the past 3 years.
Assuming average FCF is RM28m a year, 3% growth rate, 12% discount rate, and half of the current cash balance as excess cash - RM35m, RGB's intrinsic value (using DCF valuation) is about RM0.27.

Every single share in Bursa (regardless of having good fundamental or not) could be targeted by syndicate, no doubt about it. STUDY these posts and LEARN how to invest :)

Indeed RGB is almost fulfill all of Cold Eye's criteria, except for dividend yield. But I believe it will achieve that this year :)

Haha its profit growth is not spectacular enough to catch KYY's attention..

Jacky, thanks for the info. RM0.80 was the indicative price for illustration during that time. I think it's not final.

The industry is still registering commendable growth. RGB should continue to do well.

Though the prospect has become a little uncertain now due to Duterte's hard stance policy.

sleepy, I think you can refer to Dudu's article for the interest saving.
http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/%E9%83%BD%E7%9D%A3%E5%BE%81%E6%88%98%E8%82%A1%E6%B5%B7/105849.jsp
RGB had just almost settled all the debt in Q2, you should be able to see more savings from Q3 onward.
As what Dudu mentioned, the company has yet to announce any dividend for FY2016, I think it's still early to comment on "low dividend". I think many of you jump into conclusion too quickly. Payout is increasing from 2013 - 2015, and the latest dividend yield (2015) was 3%, which I think it's not too bad.
No comment on the salaries / ESOS part as I think it's subjective :)

sleepy, DCFA is discounted cash flow analysis, MOS is margin of safety. Just my 2 cnts from FA point of view.
Jian Bin, repayment of loan is not considered as earning, but it will lower finance cost - in RGB case it will save about RM3mil this year.
2016-10-06 18:01 | Report Abuse
If value it using DCFA with very conservative assumptions, one can still find huge MOS at current price. Be patient :)

Angie, as what boon mentioned above, Tali mostly involve in concession biz. It's a good "dividend yield play" company.

It's waiting for the outcome of Splash takeover. Once the last uncertainty has been removed, nothing will hold it back :)

Angie, I think recent transactions were quite low to cause concern, there were just usual daily fluctuations in my opinion. However, there is no sign of recovery yet indeed..

IMO all you need to do is to decide whether this company is worth your money or not. Ignore the daily noises and watch the grass grow! I bought it since the beginning of this year, received dividends twice and have some paper gains at today price.. No complain yet :)

I believe they have the intention to do the RI but Mr Market doesnt allow.. just keep an eye on this :)
2016-09-20 12:16 | Report Abuse
Yea to me it's definitely undervalued - PE 5, ROE and NPM >20% for past few years. The only concern is the cash flow. It could be caught expanding too fast in current weak market.
2016-09-19 17:00 | Report Abuse
It's not surprised to see the extension as it is very undervalued now. They want to raise as much as possible. Sit tight and wait for the 'push' soon :)

I guess everyone knows the way to stimulate the share price. question is whether the management wants to do it or not. Personally I will wait until end of this financial year before making any decision. Let's see..

I dont think property and construction stocks are not in favour, just look at Mitrajaya or Gadang. It's more to lack of coverage at the moment.

It could be they want to get "someone" on board. Im sure they know how great the future is and will not unnecessarily dilute their shareholding.
They have almost repaid all the debts last quarter. Hopefully repay shareholders is on their next agenda :)

Only a handful of transactions recently, the price drop is not a concern yet for sure.
Ho Hup needs the rights issue to be done for its expansion especially the KK project. Recovery is inevitable IMO.

Yea no surprise yet.. hopefully it will come soon before year end :I
2016-08-25 10:41 | Report Abuse
I think the price will continue to stay around RM1.45 until they have sorted out the shareholding.
2016-08-25 10:36 | Report Abuse
Be careful of?
Even though the number of shares make it look like XOX or APFT, i think the financials for the past 3 years are enough to differentiate them :)

I guess investors are afraid of it now, once bitten twice shy.
This remind me of Gadang of yesteryear, where many people hate it after its share price dropped to RM1.20 from RM2, even though it continues to post commendable results.

Good set of results :)

Ho Hup's Q1 result was only slightly lower compared to last year as no progress billing was made to Pavillion Bukit Jalil. The management expects progress billing to be made in Q2, couple with completion of RAPID project, Q2 should be very interesting :)

"Construction is one of those we like. At the same time, we think we are still in that low-inflation environment so dividend income features prominently in our strategy. So, it's a combination of dividend income and some growth ideas such as construction and infrastructure beneficiaries," Ng added. - http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/kianweiaritcles/102441.jsp
This is definitely one of them :)

On course to test 0.20 in next few days. Hopefully the management don't disappoint the shareholders, 0.5c interim dividend first is enough to make the share goes ballistic :)
