this stock, once it replaced Genting inside FTSE 30 - will be in the radar of those deep pocket funds/ institutions. With the bonus issue - the shares appear cheaper and with deeper liquidity, more funds can participate and buy up the shares. Thus increasing the share price momentum.

Also, it will attract degenerates like myself - to buy more of the shares and create trading momentum. By right - in theory - bonus issue will not affect share price momentum but in practise - it does. especially given that gamuda is on a growth path.

Increase momentum of the stock ..so,let say RM10 TP price...if from RM8 to RM10, have to increase by RM2 ....

Congrats to all suncon shareholders... I made a mistake by betting on the wrong horse (IJM) - although making money but not as much - as compared to investing in SunCon.

Problem is that this is an EPF company. Made a mistake - should have bought into Subway Construction.

Even the humble RHB dare not put in a sky high TP. Their TP is just 55cents but we got jokers putting TP at RM1.1x.

Gamuda is worth more than RM10 go its geographical footprint .

I remember last time, back in 2010s...the CEO of Seagate came to Penang and boasts about what the future holds for hard disks and for Seagate as a whole. Indeed, the boss came to sign off on the building of the largest campus for Seagate global , right here at Batu Kawan Penang. However, after one year into the construction project, the plan was brutally chopped off.

Reason ? Price per gigabyte of storage for SSD (as compared to Hard Disks) has already come down drastically over the years. Nowadays, you can see crappy laptops carrying SSDs. Hard disks has got a market for themselves...that of mass storage inside servers / data centers. Even then, SSDs and graphic cards are crouching into their territories.

Seagate is a dying breed...nobody wants hard disk anymore

Depends on what you do with the dividend. Gamuda offers dividend reinvestment plan - so, can convert dividend to shares . Free shares lower the cost of investment.

Happy that I did not buy in yet...no capital gain (losses indeed), no dividend...no nothing

Disappointing quarterly result...although the silver lining is that losses suffered by the construction division is narrowing Qtr on QTR. Right now is the best time to buy with the anticipation that the construction division will break even for next Qtr and turn the corner thereafter.

Smart me..have not load up on Gadang but focusses my firepower on Gamuda and IJM.

TSMC quarterly results beat expectation and revise their next year revenue forecast higher. We are on the edge for a semi con super cycle....and yet we got jokers telling us semi con cycle is coming to an end. ..don't trust me...come to Penang...get off the second link ...travel to Batu Kawan and Bayan Lepas industrial park...look at how Lam Research, Intel, AmD , Micron expanding in Penang....look at the cranes anf how IJM benefit from building these industrial building projects

We need jokers like Biden + Trump to talk through their ass...we also need jokers to sell down on big tech and semicon counters in the US ...send some jitters in the market...allow us to hive off those high entry price and buy back on the low... Correct the portfolio and increase the margin of safety.

Sometimes, volume matters as well...buy Gadang on the cheap, you gain on low base + high volume.

I got positions in both Gamuda + IJM.
Looking to load up on Gadang...as it is the only small / medium cap company with exposure to data center.

TA is right on one thing that Gadang has close working relationship with TM all these years .

It depends on how long you wanna hold this share. ? Whether you believe in the growth story ? For me, Gamuda is very capable to win overseas contract especially in Singapore when performance matters and competition is intense ..not like in Malaysia wher you get just a few big fish swimming in a small pond

IJM is very steady...does not drop much despite a weak overall market

All the US major indices are showing down ...tomorrow is a good day to grab while Gamuda is making corrections

Yesterday, inside IJM quarterly result - the construction division is still showing losses - albeit a small loss of a few millions...that got me thinking. If the big boy like IJM who have a stronger bargaining power than Gadang - can still show a loss due to rising material costs and inflationary factors - then Gadang next quarter results for their construction should not look too great. Its losses may narrow down but don't expect it to turn the corner - just yet.
