Why you say USD down (Vs RM) not good for HRC?

Operationally may have some exchange losses due to their business conducted in USD. However if we refer to HRC 2016 annual report page 112, stated every 10% USD weakens will be increased in profit after tax, equity and net assets RM139.799 million.

Petrol price up another 4 cents tomorrow.. How HRC not reporting huge profit in Q3?... Shhh.. don't tell others, let it drop further and we get ready to buy more before Q3 report...

I hold the Reit for several years. I did some study and follow up from time to time.

TWreit has very good asset, NTA is far higher than share price. The issue is their property unable to rent out. If I am not wrong could be less than 70% currently rented (I don't have latest figure bcos I sold all some time ago). Base on my evaluation (or impression) the management team do not care too much on this business. They could have other 'more important' task to do under the group!! Maybe some of them are part time taking care of TWREIT...

Recently I did some reading/research on North Korea issue and what is the resolution.

Based on one of the China non-government think-tank conclusion, North Korea/US will not war, bcos there will be no winner.. instead a peaceful solution will be agreed secretly between China, Russian and US first.. it will be implemented step by step slowly over the years. China will slowly lead/take over the entire Korea issue and US will step by step move backward...The first step is US/Japan/South Korea stop army training and North korea stop their "test"..

As far as I m concern, I am medium to long term investor. Do not care too much on short term movement... however I have allocated a small percentage to play short term/day trade.. just for my entertainment. Otherwise will be a little bore. EPS RM3+ for 2017 could be difficult to achieve.... I agree with raider, EPS above RM2.00 is definately achievable.

Why Q2 2017 financial result is disappointing?
1. Stock loss of USD1.71 per barrel
2. 3 weeks of maintenance on one of the distillers causing refinery short of 0.3 million barrel
3. Higher maintainance cost resulting higher operating cost for Q2.
4. Lower product market price compare with Q1
5. Forex losses
