Actually when gens deliver weak Q3 result, analyst already expect a similar weak Q4 result due to surging cases in singapore. Core profit wise, Q4 could be marginally better than Q3 actually. yes, but some group just hesitant on certain thing. My suggestion is for gov to open it all. that will be the fastest. don't need to give lecture to rakyat which one is better. Just do a full force roll out. No matter what combination, having a booster definitely helps.

some people are more comfortable with same vaccine they have taken. Gov should allow it instead of coming up with data showing this is better, that is better. they should follow back the previous mentality which every vaccine is effective. it is better to have one rather than waits.

Let say if genting 2022 profit doesn't exceed the cumulative losses of 2020/2021, then any unused remaining losses can be used/carried forward into profitable 2023 year of assessment and so on...

yes, malaysia tax law allow carry forward losses to offset future profitable income for tax deduction. Genting huge losses in 2020 and 2021 can be used in 2022 onwards.

The budget even extend the allowable carry forward period from 7 year to 10 year.

We all know they are making profit. But as investor, what is more important is do we ourselves make profit out of our investment? Isn't that the main goal? Always remember Warren Buffeet rule #1: Never lose money. If you invested in good profit making company and still lose money, then the problem is not the company but your investment skills and strategy. Hope you get my message and move on.

thanks for the news. singapore analysts reckon that it can benefit genting singapore in long run. Capture more market share in Asia region. Genting singapore should focus on its expansion there to capitalize macau stricter control as well as business friendly SG gov.

depreciation of 1.2 bil is cumulative of 2 quarter. Compare to last year, not much different. Not an issue. Cash from operation is positive already. Cash coming in already.
