Since KYY already bought 20m HY shares, unlikely he is going to buy more.
NOT prudent to put all eggs in ONE BASKET.
IF HE IS NOT BUYING ANY MORE, LIKELY HE WILL BE SELLING AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER.

When did Hengyuan pay dividend for the last time? 2013?
When do you expect Hengyuan to pay dividend again? 2023?
Like all Red Chips, if you still think Hengyuan is making 5 ringgit or 10 ringgit a year, and expect windfall dividend, you might as well wait for Xinquan to declare a 10 sen dividend.
Sama-sama lah, all are red chips.
Don't believe, check CAP, Maxwell, CSL, Xinquan, Xinghe, Kanger, CNOuhua, all were PE 1.5x, and all cannot afford to pay dividend.
Later on fire will break out in their factories/ refinery.
Be careful, when major shareholders start to unload, it will be like Maxwell owner selling her share at 2 sen..........

Might as well you keep on singing Henyuan will go to 100 ringgit.

Everyone who come to market must pay tuition fees.
Sslee is no exception.
Ccmeow equally qualified and not less learned than Old_and_Golden.
I am not too certain how qualified is Old_and_Golden.
Served as a Professional means that he is just an employee.
A Doctor/ Medical Consultant with NHS?
An Engineer/Consultant with Arup?
Oil man with BP?
Auditor with Big Three?
Management Consultant with MBBA?
Banker with Commercial Bank?
All are not relevant.
i3 here is full of professional, which include CFA's.
More important is know your Directors/ Substantial shareholders.
Do you have questions with regard to their credibility and integrity?
Financial accounts are good only if Directors are honest.
Read carefully in the Auditors' Report, they rely on the information provided by the Directors.
Understand what is creative accounting means.
Understand why and when Kitchen Sink can happen.
Understand how and why the Big Four Auditing Firms (now left with Big Three) compromise their accounting standard.
Go back to read up Enron incident.
Read more to find out how good is Public Invest Analyst's Research Reports and TPs.
Finally, I wish you good luck.
Paying some tuition fees is ok, provided each time you learn a lesson.
Don't let your tuition fees down to the drain...........

Is it really a good buy?
How is the land compared with 23.16 acres of freehold prime land developed by IOIP for 1039 units of condo (GDV 677m) under brand name Skyz Residence?
Location wise, Skyz Residence is very much more superior than subject land.
Project is almost completed due for delivery latest by Jun 2018.
Too bad the sales so far is less than 30% to date.
http://idaman2.kpkt.gov.my:8888/idv5/98_eHome/laporanJualanRumah.cfm?p...
What is your deduction.
To me, this transaction is not beneficial to UEMS shareholders in short term.
1. Simply overpriced.
2. Still ample land available in the vicinity (Megajaya).
3. Future development is towards Bukit Jalil City under Malton (Pavilion).
4. Access road is terribly jam. Only consolation is not too far from MEX exit and MRT Line 2 (2 to 3 km away).
5. Bandar Puchong Jaya, Kinrara and Bukit Jalil City are more preferred address, so the houses fetch higher premium.
6. Unlikely residential units (condo?) can sell better than those in Bandar Puchong Jaya, Kinrara or Bukit Jalil City.
7. Very likely UEMS will not develop the land for next 10 years.
Don't ever believe in Public Anal-list.
They are not qualify to give any good accurate research report.
Go and look at their reports for Parkson, SP Setia, Lotte Chemicals and many many more to convince yourself.

So you have spent all your 20k.
What happen if all these shares drop 5%, 10%?
Do you intend to pump in more to average down?
Or you just follow cpteh cut loss?
Or do you just stop and stare without further action?
Need to formulate your buying and exit strategy.
You have decided to invest in stock market.
What is your objective?
Clearly define if it is meant for wealth accumulation (believe no point as you have retired), or for some thrill/ pass time and the same time look for some pocket money?
Don't gamble away your hard saved nesteggs.
Market is not forgiving regardless whether you are highly qualified academically or otherwise.
Forget about your profession you were engaged in prior to retirement, unless you have been in capital market (very unlikely).
Doctors and engineers not necessarily can make good and wise decision in share market. In bear market, even accountants with CA/CPA also lose like nobody's business.

20k?
What can you buy?
To be a day trader?
Better not.
Since you already have cucu, better spend more time playing with your cucu.
If you have worked 17 years overseas with good salary, you should have saved not less than 5m assuming USD 360k per annum.
Use 4m to buy Reits that generate 6% a year, amount to 240k for living expenses.
500k in FD/Saving account for big ticket item when necessary.
500k in HLIB for ecTrade with 0.1% commission, to pass time and get some thrill.
Surely NOT 20k as you have intended.

Most idiotic share buy back operation was carried out by WC on Parkson.
Just check how much WC spent on SBB over the years.
Valuable resources were up to 2.1 billion ringgit wasted merely to support its share price to avoid forced selling of pledged securities.

HELP! HELP! Need help from i3 SIFU to advise on LEADER STEEL!
Author: Chanteckfai | Publish date: Wed, 29 Nov 2017, 10:40 PM
Paging all i3 SIFU! I bought Leader Steel at RM0.715. Now I am burn big big big in Leader Steel!
I feel very shame to post this but I honestly need some expert sifu to help me research Leader Steel to see if this is a good or very bad steel company!
I wonder if any SIFU know anything about this company?
I know this company real boss is Eonmetall boss - Dato Goh Cheng Huat, but the CEO is his wife Datin Tan Pak Say!
The company is suppose to make profit due to high steel price and good mineral demand but turn out is loss!
Anybody expert sifu can explain to me why?
Look at the above posting.
It is very clear now who is lying.
And bad karma will always stick to the one who lies.........

Nobody is going to stop you from making more money, only if you can......

Accounting degree?
Finance degree?
Economics?
CFP?
CIMA?
CA?
CPA?
CFA?
And how long were you actually in the market continuously?
10 years? 15 years?
To be good at market, you need to possess:
1. knowledge
2. skill
3. experience
4. discipline
I believe those who had gone through 1987, 1997/98, 2002, 2008/9 will strive and will not blame market forces, regardless mere presence of certain characters who use to con public in general...............

Blog: for newbies in KLSE a word of caution
Nov 22, 2014 08:07 PM | Report Abuse
Let suppose you have 1m cash asset (Share, FD, Bonds, Treasury bills, SA etc excluding EPF). How much risk you you can take?
Some people can stand up to 50% loses (if they are still young <35 yr old)
Some people can only stand up to 20% loses. (may be for 40 -50 yr old)
Some may be 10%, or 5%. (Retired or near to retirement >50 yr old)
It is really depends on your degree of tolerance.
Some may be young, but they have low degree of tolerance. Their temper will fluctuate with market performance. Market good, they got excited. Market down, they will not be able to sleep. This will affect their job performance.
My advice is, if you invest up to 500k, you find that your temper already being jeopardized, reduce to 400k. If still find hard to sleep, reduce further to 300k, 200k,100k etc. There should come to a level whether market up or down doesn't affect performance of your main career anymore. That is your tolerance level.
Some may have 1m cash asset, but not able to stand a 5k loses. These people are not risk taker, share market is definitely not suitable for them. REITs may be most suitable for them as it is low risk with medium gain. Otherwise will be FD or MGS.
