Selling price in China is RMB 2000 per ton
Selling price in US must be USD 2000 per ton also

If US customer can buy at USD 1000 per ton, it is to the advantage of the US industries.
If US producers can't produce at USD 800, Donald Duck was expecting China exporter to pay USD 800 to subsidize US producer?

Trade war not just limit to import and export of physical goods.
What about intellectual properties and financial instruments?
China may use its vast reserve to manipulate US bonds, treasury bills, hence influence the stability of USD exchange rate.
A volatile USD may make most countries' Central Bank move away from using USD as foreign reserve. AND will further weakening USD as settlement medium for Third Parties transaction.
China can make use of its vast domestic demand to cushion impact on lost of export to US market, just as it did in 2008/09 during US financial crisis.

What make China a superpower?
It is self-reliance from raw material, to semi-finished products, to end product, and to the home market.
China is big enough to be considered 'world by itself'.

Can US produce a telephone, or a motorcar, sourcing components from its own factories in US?
Answer is NO.

So, all in all, a trade war with China will may US citizens suffer more.
As for Malaysia, Gajah sama Gajah berjuang, Pelandok mati tengah-tengah.

Free trade is good for all countries.
Globalization of trade make sense for individual country to benefit on its strength like cheap labour, abundance of agricultural land, technical knowledge on high end manufacturing, research and development capabilities.
Surely we cannot expect Singapore to grow its own food.
Surely we cannot expect India to make its solar panel cheap.
Surely we cannot expect US to produce cheap steel.

Like all Red Chips, if you still think Hengyuan is making 5 ringgit or 10 ringgit a year, and expect windfall dividend, you might as well wait for Xinquan to declare a 10 sen dividend.

Sama-sama lah, all are red chips.

Don't believe, check CAP, Maxwell, CSL, Xinquan, Xinghe, Kanger, CNOuhua, all were PE 1.5x, and all cannot afford to pay dividend.

Later on fire will break out in their factories/ refinery.

Be careful, when major shareholders start to unload, it will be like Maxwell owner selling her share at 2 sen.........

Rental for Sg Wang will improve only after MRT is ready in 2017. Traffic too bad right now.

IOI City Mall in Putrajaya practically entice most residents from Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Kajang, Sri Kembangan, Puchong South and nearby area. It is simply too good to resist. Why go to the Mines with ah pek appearance when you have a brand new first class mall nearby. Newly open less than a month and already near to 80% occupancy. Just pay a visit to appreciate it yourself.

Yes, I like retail REITs. But to invest in CMMT must have second thought.
Just go to Sungai Wang, what do you see?
Go to IOI City Mall in Putrajaya. What can you conclude?
Hektar is most resilient and consistently pay out at least 10.4sen DPU. This work out to have DY 7.2% based on 1.45 share price.

As for office REITs, try to avoid QCT as PS acquisation is not at arms length. If waiver for PAC not granted, or PS acquisation aborted, then QCT is a good buy.
Try to avoid any other office REITs because it will be getting harder and harder to find tenant.

Industrial REITs, best buy is still Atrium. No doubt Atrium Puchung is vacant right now, with able property manager, it will not be difficult to find tenant. Moreover,
DPU for Jan 2015 will remain at 2.2sen (net profit from disposal of Rawang factory). This give DY 7.7% based on 1.17 share price.

For multi-dimension REITs, best choice is ARReit. Silverbird factory fiasco should be over in Jan 2015 with court proceeding (unless High5 play dirty trick again). Wisma Amanahraya in Jalan Semantan (Now rename Wisma ELM) is now lease to SEGI College University. In no time DPU will go back to 8 sen per unit.

Caution! Be caution!! Be most caution !!!!
Don't trust MRCB will inject properties for new lease of life to QCT at arms length.
Properties injected will be very much inflated. I don't trust QCM as someone has vested interest in these type of transactions.

Sing dollar is still very much over-valued.
Singapore is no more competitive to operate business.
Singapore port is going to lose more and more business as its leader offended China.
Singaporean are asset rich, but cash strapped. Hard to enjoy comfortable retirement life.
Singapore retiree will have to work until 80 year old.

Most suited to the case scenario involving KYY.
If he promote share when he first see value (before price moving upwards), and he keep on buying till price shoot through the roof -- he is a gentleman.
If he already collected substantial (say 90% of his target volume), at low price, then using third party's account to create market activity with buying and selling (with fancy story), at the same time, gradually reducing his holding and slaughtering idiots along the way --- he is a wolf covered with sheep skin, a con man.

Fund managers are not cheating any body, even though they operate in similar pattern.
BUT they are not promoting any particular stock.
They leave it to Anal-list like PublicInvest Anal-lsit to do the dirty job.

So, equip yourself with knowledge, skill peritus, and be discipline.

Those with age 28 to 35 are supposed to be the buyers of the day, but they have deferred for the past 4 years.
So, potential buyers now are those from 28 to 39 year old.
How many are in this category?
7.7m !! With another 3m coming to age 28 in next 5 years.
It will shift the supply/demand graph.
When economy recover, property prices will again rocketing upwards.
This will most probably happen in next 3 years.

MQ Reits has been used as cash cow for MRCB.
Sooner or later, you will see MRCB injects all its KL Sentral properties into MQ Reits at grossly over-inflated price, hence passing the financial burden from MRCB to MQ Reits unit holders.
If you don't like to be paymaster for some over-inflated properties, vote with your legs.

Remember Xinquan?
Why Xinquan need Rights issue (raising paltry sum) when there was a few hundred million CASH in the bank. Even KYY believed CASH was there because his cousin was the auditor.

What happened to Xinquan can happen to HY, both are red chips paying no dividend.

Only company that pays dividend generate genuine profit.
Otherwise just profit created from thin air.........

As an indication you should dispose MQ Reits before ex-date, just look at EPF trading in the counter.
Bearing in mind EPF is the main beneficiary when MRCB sold Platinum Sentral and Menara Shell.
EPF is still major and substantial share holders of MRCB.......

MQ Reits Managers cheat.
Why EPU decreased?
Why Platinum Sentral registered revaluation losses up to 25m?

Answers:

1. Platinum Sentral simply overvalued when it first injected into QC Reits. Rental not commensurate with amount paid. Have to write down even more for coming 3 years to reflect market value.

2. Menara Shell will have to write down in 2 years time to reflect market value.
Again MRCB simply injected over-inflated assets into MQ Reits.

3. Further issuance of units to vendors and Managers diluted EPU.

4. Rental and occupancy can only go south in coming years due to oversupply of office space.


Recommendation:

Forget about the income distribution.
MQ Reits is going to laosai after ex-date.
