I called Public Bank Share Investment (i do online trading by myself). They asked if i wanted to have cash option or CIMB Niaga (Indonesia) shares. They said they calculated already that if you own more than 6000 shares in CIMB, it may be better to take CIMB Niaga shares in Indonesia but bear in mind foreign share transaction also cost more in fees. Selling CIMB Niaga shares cannot be done through the online system but can we can call the remisier (in my case, PB Shares) to sell it when the day comes. The date of entitlemeng is 9 August I think and the exercise should be completed by 26 August (if I remember correctly).

Thanks! It is always interesting to learn how long investors hold on to the stocks (including factors like inflation). I have also held stocks for years, enjoying seeing them appreciate in value over time. But sometimes, I hold on to them simply because the entry price was too high (alas "buy low sell high" is a simple rule to understand but difficult in practice^^). For curiosity, what is the longest time any of us had held on to a stock (not because of the long term investment, but because the exit price was not good enough for sell)? I held one for 16 months waiting for the price to recover before selling a solid profit.

I just sold everything on DIGI. Held it for 3 months (I held on longer for other stocks before), but I think I gave this particular counter enough time already. I am open to any suggestions (inspiration) on what else to buy^^.

I have a question: When there is an outlier price (RM5.05 when the normal range is RM 4.60-4.80), does the system make any adjustment?

Remember when the price dropped to 0.78 a year ago? I was so worried because I bought at a higher price. Almost sold to recoup. But I believed it is a good company so I bought even more at that rock bottom price and kept it for more than a year. As small investor, I followed a rule that I only used very liquid fund (extra money) so I could wait it out. I am a happy person now:)
