（古晉7日訊） 砂州地方政府與房屋部長拿督沈桂賢說，數名中國遊客在中國完成接種冠病疫苗的程序後，竟在近日入境砂拉越接受冠病檢測時，檢測結果呈陽性反應，令人擔憂。

“這裡已出現從中國輸入的確診病例，他們是於去年接種疫苗，但他們抵達古晉並被強制隔離，以及接受聚合酶鏈反應（RT-PCR）檢測後，被發現確診。”

他週三通過網絡發文披露，這也意味，即使已接種2劑疫苗，且可能可獲得“疫苗護照”，但那卻並非100%是“冠病免疫護照”。

“人們普遍誤以為，只要接種2劑疫苗後就安全，因為接種後的2至3週的時間內將能產生冠病抗體。”


他說，不同的疫苗具有不同的有效性。

“即使是輝瑞疫苗，在接種2劑後對預防嚴重感染的有效性高達95%，但若你是另外那5%，情況會如何?”

砂5.4萬人已接種 少數人接種後仍確診

沈桂賢說，砂州已有5萬4000人接種疫苗，但卻有極少數人士在接種1至3週後因各種原因確診。

不過，他指出，他仍大力鼓勵民眾接種疫苗，因為接種疫苗是預防社區感染、達到集體免疫目標、保護彼此及防止病毒變種的必要步驟。

“如果我們能快速地接種疫苗，病毒就無法突變，變種病毒就不會出現。我們必須保護我們的邊境，防止類似出現在西馬的南非變種病毒被帶入砂州。”

“OFFSHORE COMPANY FIRST TO BE CHARGED UNDER MACC’S NEW LAW”
The Company refer to the news article entitled “Offshore Company first to be charged under
MACC’s new law” which appeared on TheEdgeMarkets.com on Thursday, 18 March 2021.
The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Datasonic wishes to announce that our Deputy Managing
Director, Mr Chew Ben Ben, who is a former Director of Pristine Offshore Sdn Bhd, where he
holds 49% interest in this private investment company, which is a separate legal entity of
Datasonic, is being charged by the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”) under
Section 16(b)(A) of the MACC Act, 2009 for allegedly paid a bribe of RM321,350 between 29
June 2020 to 14 October 2020 in relation to a sub-contract for ship chartering for oil mining
work. Mr Chew has pleaded not guilty to the charge and is already on bail and back to work in
office now to assume his duties and responsibilities as Deputy Managing Director of Datasonic.
The trial shall take a long process until all legal processes have been completed with a final
decision from the court.
The Board wishes to state that:-
1. Datasonic and its subsidiaries (“Datasonic Group”) are not involved in the said subcontracting whatsoever, either directly or indirectly. Neither the Company has benefited
in whatever form from the said workboat chartering accommodation business.
2. The abovementioned charge is strictly related to Mr Chew’s private investment company,
in workboat chartering accommodation business which is not related to any of
Datasonic’s businesses.
3. It is business as usual at Datasonic Group. The business operations are not affected and
are running as usual in Datasonic Group.
The Company will make the necessary announcements to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad as
and when there are further developments in relation thereof.

( Dataprep leads gainers as value tops RM1b) Dataprep’s share price rally began in mid-February after the company announced plans to acquire a 51% stake in RIDAA Associates Sdn Bhd, aimed at expanding the group’s multimedia and communication revenue stream.

The group, in its third-quarter ended June 30, 2020 (3Q20), stated that the acquisition will allow the group to pursue opportunities to build, instal, operate, maintain and manage telecommunication tower assets in Malaysia.

Its venture into the telecommunication towers project is aligned with the National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan for the foundation of the country’s digital infrastructure transition to 5G technology.

In addition to its takeover plan, Dataprep’s share price has also been boosted by developments linked to Widad Business Group Sdn Bhd (WBG). WBG is owned by Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah, who is also a substantial holder of Dataprep.

Muhammad Ikmal sold 11.11 million Dataprep shares on Feb 16 in an off-market deal before acquiring 200,000 shares via open market on March 1, which took his stake to 54.21%. He has also been actively trading his shares in Widad Group Bhd with the acquisition of some 366.96 million shares and disposal of 420.16 million shares.

This project will not lead to such a rise. The good play is still to come.
