Looks like it and good for shareholders. Last Thur/Fri had more buyers than sellers. Hopefully there is something sweet for Hari Raya ... thought I read someone wishing for 1.90 a few days back...

Bite the bullet. Exit this counter. Not your game.

Does FGV CEO have the right to place such a big deposit at Rajawali? Shareholder approval should be acquired as it is a large sum of money. Anybody can comment?

21% FGV ownership... Rajawali must be thinking Malaysians are big idiots. Now that true color is shown, better walk out than be sorry later. How about investing in Nigeria? There are sizeable estates and should be cheaper than greedy Rajawali.

Pity FGV board is such poor negotiator paying a big premium. The problem is this is not their hard earned money. If only they personally own the RMbillion, they wouldn't pay such a big premium. If Eagle High views FGV as synergistic partner, they would offer very attractive price to FGV. The problem here is the HIGH PRICE. FGV must walk away from the deal and if Eagle High wants FGV partnership, they will offer better price. A china man will walk away from this deal... Please stop acting like a billionaire.

Ring, probable low yield is due to present tree age profile? Did mgt actively execute replanting since 2012?

FGV could buy back shares from EPF off market deal? Now good price to kick out EPF.

Public Bank evaluation is shockingly misleading. From 2.70 to 2.07 in a matter of
days. Their analysts are next to useless.
FGV is a sad story and many misled investors. As mentioned much earlier, give FGV a big miss. Many external factors still not taken into account!

Each time foreign institutions buy, price shoots up. Then they retract and wait and try again but no success. Tenaga stocks are worth much more, hold and wait as it becomes even more valuable. Having said that, EPF are trading as well, not very smart. They should go in slowly, accumulate more and hold mid to long term whilst pressing for higher dividend moving forward.

Planters will think long term and they will also not sell even if price reaches back to IPO level if they can afford. So even if the price reaches 2.80 this time round, they will not sell. What they need to do is make sure FGV management focuses on its core business. Keyword here is LONG TERM.

EPF has been accumulating lately. If price doesn't go up next week, it would be wise to abandon the counter. Dividend is also on low side.

Next week will be interesting as quarterly results will be released.

I do not believe FGV is able to pay good dividends moving forward mid term. This could be a reason why EPF is selling. Don't forget, last year's EPF dividend payout was 6.7%. EPF is doing the right thing. No comments on TH acquiring FGV stocks lately, so all the best to TH.

jeannie : this is a good counter and if you can wait out the surplus supply of oil, then go for it. There is opportunity cost though.

Have to factor in potential oil supply from Iran. Oil price upswing predicted end 2016 may be in doubt.

No tariff reduction for this year as mentioned by minister last week. Also current rebate will end mid year. Prospects look good for TNB. Must accumulate TNB stocks now.

Thanks ma5959. A lot of assumptions for FGV to be successful. Further, countries like the US and especially in the Midwest, has miles and miles of soy plants and crucially their cost management is miles ahead of FGV. Looks bleak and FGV needs to focus. I will avoid this counter as there are too much risk involved.

Why are they getting in banking software development? It is not their core business. When is the new CEO coming?
