You think AA up from less than 1.00 and rapidly climb from 1.50 to the price now for no reason or just because of the coming dividend? You think will drop back to 1.50 or 1.90 upon ex. date? Not logic right?

Sign, not entirely correct. Under normally circumstances shares may correct itself on ex. date for the amount equivalent to the dividend payout. But since AA ex date and the expected FABULOUS QR report just 1 day apart, I don't think any major sell down will happen if any because you cannot collect much lower on the same day as ex.

For c31, time decay, out of inventory factors is better to watch very closely. Once the QR report out don't be greedy if you have p.rofit. A lot of tricks as you can see majority of buy n sell Q now not the typical retailers already and could be just for staging show only.

Koon Bee, AA TP 4.50 for which quarter n TP from what bank? For this round of QR, even TP by MQ 3.50 already ppl think is bias n too optimistic. Kind to share. Of course I welcome if can reach 4.50 for this coming QR release. I think everyone here holding AA will be delighted counting all the money to bank so to speak.

Cwingz, your description of the AA dropped minimum 1 bid movement equivalent to 0.01 together with 'only if' one bid is equivalent to 0.000001 to justify his so call huge drop may too complicated for him to understand. Don't think he can comprehend your example of huge drop is 10,000 bids down lol....

Some ppl use margin to earning more, Some jump from counter to counter for the trending waves rush, some buy n check back months later, I use hybrid...long term at one counter with spike/drop waves trading.

All have pros n cons. Just see what suit you best. Hence I never advocate my trading styles. Just for sharing.

Overall I did a calculation, I still make some extra so far by doing the waves trading. For this morning, if I did not cancelled my queue at 2.32 this morning, I would have bought back at lower price only. To ride the waves is not easy as you really need to be able to use technical analysis, market sentiments, etc to time when n what price point to out and get back in to maximize the extra.

Of course is higher risk but also has its rewards. You could miss opportunities as well.

Actually to the contrary. If you look at my history of comments you will see I most of the time let the profit run. I even commented why I think in n out for this counter now is very difficult to make additional profit compare to let the profit run. But there are few exceptions where there are substantial price spike followed by substantial drop where I went with the up down ride.

So far the updates available only mentioned hedge for FY16. Why, you plan to keep the share till next year?

Egypt Air is not part of AA group & any substantial exchange rate movement and for substantial period now only will affect the next quarter result. So should not stop AA up trending not this QR expected next week. The same even less for jet fuel ad AA already hedge 76% of their jet fuel at USD54 for F16.

That is because sign's rational for AA to crash are all not relevant. If his rational for a counter to crash down is so simple, nobody can loose money in investing shares already.

Earlier ppl thought the QR report will out this Friday, so all the rush...then announced next Friday so might have caused some slowness. Contra players needs to adjust, institution and big players slow down n see can bargain hunting a bit.

I ran to dump my other counter holding as index is expected to be choppy for coming weeks. Other many counters cannot performed as well as AA in this choppy index weeks ahead. Luckily got matched and now already up...

No need to keep track so much already. Everyday check 2 times enough already till next Thursday.

Run to buy more AA. I think sign keep asking ppl to run because SIGN counter dropped and Inari net profit dropped so much. AA counter still one of the best potentials now. So run, definitely run to buy more. I already queue to buy more.

Ringgit up/down, oil up/down are all indirect factors to AA already. These factors may make bursa index up or dampen a bit and the overall market may react to the index. But for AA counter is different story as the movements now is mainly due to the coming QR report and to certain extend the buying n selling pattern/demand or TA. FA cannot change overnight.

Remember past few days when index down 20plus point, AA still go up?

So someone's call to run or dump AA just because oil up a bit, or Ringgit weaken a bit don't make sense at ALL.

Is called businessman acumen. TF is known to be a very business savvy person borderline a shrewd one. But having said that, is not a bad thing since we just ride with him to make some profit here. Otherwise how he can bring AA from scratch to where it is now and how 'everyone can fly' now. Think about it.

I don't invest 1/2m in AA, so RM35,000 a bottle is not possible unless AA go up to RM35 which is not possible in next few weeks. So no need to talk something that is not possible. After count money to bank then only thick how to spend is still not too late.

I think if all i3 ppl here sell all their AA also not much effect. AA shares distribution is too huge for i3 investors to make any scratch mush less any dent. So no worry, everyone can sell/buy freely.

some thick skull person still cannot get the fact straight. Current oil price change will not affect AA at least few quarters as is reported that AA already hedged 76% of its jet fuel for FY16. This steady climb due to the expected good 1Q16 QR is pretty much set the in stone (except some big airline catastrophic event/s happen).

The only thing we can speculate is how much climb it will be post & pre 1Q16 QR. Are we going to eat grade AAA abalone and drink blue label or even better?

Now AA counter cannot jump in n out dy as the price increase steadily as the QR will out soon. Also once you sold, to buyback there already long queue and at best only 1-2sen lower if you are lucky. The 1-2 sen different you will actually not earn much as your platform commission expense lost n lost when you cannot sell at intraday peak.

No matter how good your skill, you will likely not make much different.

I sold at 2.80 n 2.90 today n bought back at 2.70 cuz I realized AA counter will not drop for me to be more profitable to jump in n out then to hold. I just cancelled my sell Q. BTW, I use zero margin to trade.

Sostupid, normally volume does not dictate price. It is the other way around. Up-trending normally will attract more buy/sell activities hence higher vol. AA will up significantly for sure for this 1Q16 and likely the same for 2Q16 but at some points it needs to correct n retract a bit.

Actually can just leave it until after the 1Q16 report out at least. Read my super short, longer, and super longer plan for AA counter yesterday.

I sold too...too hot dy...need to cool down before start next uptrend.

Super long term - trust TF n geng to grow AA to the next giant

Longer term - till 2QR16

Short term 2 weeks - pre & post QR

luckily today institutions n big players buying a lot from RM2.00-2.20, if not will not able to close at 2.20. Without them should be only 1.90-2.00. Also index erased inter-day low to close slight lower only. Hopefully will not go below 1600 so soon so that with AA QR out will be more exciting. Still no complaint so far.

Will see how institutions n big players will play this counter tomorrow till next 2 weeks; pre & post QR.

If you don't antagonize, attack, or belittle other people, normally other ppl will not bother to upset you. What is past is past. Be the bigger person, let it go and don't bother to bring up the history. No body pay any attention, they will stop eventually.

Conclusion best to trade base on FA, TA, market sentiments....unless director is your own father/mother....though that may have legality and ethic issues involved.

The index may continue its downtrend and if so tomorrow may hit the 1600 psychology support. will gone

Overall mrkt sentiment is bearish. Likely will hover around the 2.18-2.20 range unless institutions accumulate more.
