Even for a hari hari trade guy like hng33 who buy n sell for few cents gain,appeared to be a 100% chartist at first glance but if u follow him more closely u will see he equipped himself with FA n good understandings of the co he trades...not buta buta hentam like u....thats y he could earn enough money to buy chicken rice everyday n consistently....

That should b the very basic way to start with...and i see many newbies are doing alright even after a short period of 2-3 years...if u do yr homework consistently...even with a winning rate of 60-70% u shall be able to see some better results. Yes, cold eye is my most respected sifu in stock market, in terms of his investing knowledge, willingness n selfless sharing and most importantly his intention is noble,unlike someone who is selling when he asked us to buy with margin. We all knew the difference.

My point is margin is a useful tool,but only to a certain qualified investors and u are one of them.

Going thru the rights issues of born oil last year gives me a return of 40% now after holding ard 8-9 months, hopefully next comes faster.

It gives u a real market feel,this can't be learnt from reading books,watching DVDs n meeting old n young traders

CPTeh has very little understanding and knowledge on the stock market though the thought he knew a lot by reading books, watching DVDs, meeting old and young traders etc.

In short, investing in stock mkt is very different from teaching Add Maths. Personally I am quite surprised he doesnt know that after spending 8 years+ in stock market (from his actual results...he should know how good or how bad it is, though he always blow here), worse than some new kids i came across with 1-2 years experience.

I see he is just trying very hard to fish for newbies here to for a few hundred tuition fee i think instead of trying to make money from investing in stock market.

U can make money if only u are SVIP n VIPS of OTB, or else higher chance u are being made money by them...

Back to the fundamental,learn FA,buy good counters n hold for a longer time.after a while u may b surprised to find yr results could b very much better than yr short term trades of making few cent gains.

However if u were cpteh i will not only advise u not to use margin...its better for u to quit stock mkt completely
