In year 1974, raw sugar price was 53c usd .In recent years (2011) it was 34c usd
And lately , the world commodities are all increasing, so don't be surprise if raw sugar goes up to above 30c usd

【独家】开源节流·提高出口 大马糖厂放眼重返盈利高峰

（吉隆坡7日讯）通过降成本、提高国内市场与出口增长，大马糖厂（MSM，5202，主板消费股）放眼未来重回2.5亿令吉盈利高峰。

大马糖厂总执行长赛费扎赛莫哈末昨日在线上分享会表示，该公司今年目标为提高白糖平均售价及降低各种营运成本如运输、能源和产能等。
莫哈末说，大马糖厂也放眼开拓外国市场，目前出口约26.6%，除了提升现有的市场（越南、中国及韩国），明年将会布局进军其他海外市场，如印尼、东盟及其他国家，以将出口提升至40%。

他表示，大马糖厂规模为全球第8大公司，期盼可重回过往的盈利，并立志让公司重回2014年的净利高峰期。

2014年，大马糖厂创下了2亿5700万令吉净利，此后，业绩表现起伏不定，一度连续8个季度皆亏损。截至今年3月，大马糖厂首季净利报3111万86000令吉。莫哈末表示，大马糖厂在新管理层接管后，除了提高监管，并透过转型计划，成功转亏为盈外，也能取得稳定的盈利能力。

莫哈末说公司目前在国内的市占率为60%，期望可在今年内提高至65%，未来再提高至70%。公司的客户包括有雀巢（NESTLE，4707，主板消费股）、星狮集团（F&N，3689，主板消费股）和可口可乐等。

另外，集团旗下的白糖品牌在全马家庭渗透率为70.9%，十大家庭品牌排名第三，仅排在第一美极（Maggie）和第二为的美禄（Milo）之后。

拓展加工食品业务

莫哈末表示，该公司旗下也有一些加工食品如糖浆，这类业务贡献虽不大，但赚幅甚好，未来将会拓展这类产品。

“我们也会积极脱售非核心资产以降低债务。”

今年5月，大马糖厂宣布脱售玻璃市工厂及土地予大股东FGV控股（FGV,5222,主板种植组），作价1亿7500万令吉，基于是关联交易，需通过9月份股东特大放行。莫哈末强调有关脱售是公平及合理交易。
