KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 (Bernama) -- Scomi Energy Services Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, Scomi Oiltools Sdn Bhd, has been awarded two five-year contracts by Kuwait Oil Company with an estimated value of US$150 million (RM610 million).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Scomi Energy said the contracts were for the provision of mud products and mud engineering services for deep drilling, dated Jan 31, 2019, and for the provision of mud products and mud engineering services for development drilling, dated Feb 4, 2019.
“For these contracts, Scomi Oiltools will be supplying the drilling fluid chemicals, providing engineering services as well as constructing, managing and operating a Liquid Mud Plant on site at the client’s facility,” it said, adding, its order book stood at US$176 million prior to this contract award.
