Now they are not just big, but rich, in term of government effiency, they are much better now aday. what you see is only common ppl which is still lack of personallity, easy to be manupulated. but you did not see their elites. that makes Huawei, Alibaba, tencent...etc growth so fast in short time to become global company.

compare to SEA or india, the advantage of china is
1. BIG
2. one language (majority), no issue like what we had in malaysia or SEA country
3. one nation (Re...)
4. maybe money or better living standard is what they believe
5. fast

look back Japan, Taiwan, Korea in 1980~2010, what you see the common things they had.
i believe they still got long way to go to become a reputable country, but no in business or economy.

Agree with roundcateye, in Malaysia maybe yes but globally BJC is not big enough. Poor management team is the main factor.
