LTE – Inari’s game changer

FY14-16 EPS raised by 17-39%

Our FY14-16 EPS forecast are raised by 17.3%/38.8%/35.4% respectively to account for our more upbeat outlook on the company after our recent meeting with management. Our FY14 EPS upgrade comes largely on the back of: 1) a lower tax assumption of 6% from 20% after obtaining clarification from management that bulk of the reported 1QFY14 tax was related to recently acquired Amertron. Inari’s domestic operations are still enjoying a pioneer tax free status; and 2) upgrade in Amertron’s revenue and earnings assumptions.

1.Amertron revenue performing better, more value to be extracted
Annualised, Amertron’s 1QFY14 revenue is in the region of US$150m which is nearly 25%-36% stronger than Amertron’s historical revenue range of US$110m- 120m per year. Management guided that it has seen a pick-up in demand particularly for fibre optic products, which is unsurprising. We also take comfort that management has been very hands on in “milking” the Amertron operations vide a combination of driving sales and also improving cost efficiency. Note that Amertron’s 1QFY14 net margins were still considerably low at an estimated 3% vs Inari Tech’s historical net margins of c. 19%. Management is currently focussing on enhancing logistics and bulk raw material purchases, which will have a positive impact in the coming quarters.

2.Ceedtec will likely be in the black in 2QFY14 The sharper earnings upgrade for FY15-16 is also underpinned by: 1) a turnaround in profitability of 51%-owned Ceedtec. Ceedtec managed to breakeven in September 2013, and posted mild profit contribution in October 2013. Earnings momentum should continue to remain positive supported by a planned 50% capacity expansion to cater for the rollout of its test and measurement equipment, which are outsourced by Agilent; and 2) continued sharp ramp up in its bread and butter RF products for Avago. Meanwhile there has been some delays on the ISK side in terms of commercial production (likely pushed back to 1QCY14), we are not too perturbed by this, considering the vast prospects of fibre optics (please refer to our report dated 30 Sept 2013).

3.LTE - a game changer for Inari Tech
We believe that the strong growth underpinning Inari Tech’s RF division is the rising rate of LTE adoption, which is a natural progression of 3G. LTE has spurred an increased number of advanced RF filters, such as Avago’s proprietary FBAR, required to accommodate LTE’s multiband requirement (significantly more advanced filters as compared to a single filter in a 3G device). According to independent reports, global LTE subscription will hit 2bn within the next 5 years, sealing Inari’s prospects in this fast growth, high demand area.

Mahsingw good buy Monday. But hepitrade, u follow the good advice of mike and trade cautiously next week. Allocate some amount for good blue chip counters and sum for contra play. Nowadays, the operators don't allow u to make much on intraday/contra T+3 play. They give u little, so lock in profits for contra play immediately. U stay invested medium term, then u see money. Small funds ok, u grow gradually.

Lim, hibiscus-wa and pm corp, just wait and push off when trending up. hibcus wa now trending 1.50, pmcorop 25.5; instaco 0.27c. I do not know ur holdings. The next time invest in some good fundamental counters, we recommend here. I am sorry cannot help much, but wait b4 cut loss.
