almufathal, I am not so sure about Hibis holding Rex but they have a joint venture company Hirex, licenced to use Rex Technology in 11 Asia Pacific countries. Rex technology is new and yet Triax ( A venture company ) valued HiRex at US$ 67 mil and invested US$ 10 mil for a 15 % stake.

Guys, Rex price increased today was not due to Oman but due to their new development in Trinidad & Tobago also by using the Rex Technology. Here's the press release today.

NKN1, Rex Technology has been proven in Norway and US. Lime was given 7 licences due to joint venture for using the technology. Licence from Norway expected to increase to 15 by next year. FRAM US also entered into a joint venture with Rex for the technology and agreed for Rex to own about 20 % equity in the company. Rex director is also seconded to FRAM. They are using Rex Technology and will drill 80 wells. Oil has been found.
The Rex Technology is use for drilling but another newly acquired technology Rexonic, is a well stimulation technology and is already in the market. That's why Rex paying so much for it.
