NEW YORK: Brent prices ended higher on Tuesday after a 5-year low and five straight days of losses and U.S. crude also rose as players sought a sustainable price for oil in a market haunted by oversupply concerns.

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd’s earnings jumped 41.8% to RM348.40mil in the third quarter ended Oct 31, 2014 from RM245.55mil a year ago mainly due to higher contribution from drilling and energy services segment.

“Foreign participation was active, and the highest in eight weeks. Daily average gross purchase and sale amounted to RM1.09 billion, the first time it exceeded RM1 billion in six weeks,” it added.

Both local institutions and retailers supported the market. Retail investors were noticeably mopping up shares for the fifth week running. Retailers bought RM255 million net last week, the highest this year.

Current oil price is about 65 n Looks like Kuwait may want to maintain this price until Shale surrender so Suma current price may remain at 22???????
