what make you think so? 1.47?

As expected, JCY hit the 50d ema @1.38 and rebounded.

pureland: TA, to me, is just a tool to help me interpret volume and price action. TA dun give you buy or sell signal. It is the person who interpret it that make the decision. Just like earlier on, I asked why buy in @1.51 when I know the stock will reverse in the course of rebound.
Your so call invincible hand may well control the price within a price range. Buy in general they have to work within the underlying trend as well.

on my daily chart, jcy's friday closing of 1.47 rest right on 20d ema. since this ema has been broken recently, i dun expect it to provide much support. on my 60 minutes chart, 1.47 is below my short term ema of 20 and 50. if on Monday, the price do not open and trade above 1.49, then these short term emas on my 60 minutes chart will act as resistant each time the stock rebound. If this is the case then more downside is expected.
should the price drop further on Monday, my personal view is that the 50d ema on the daily chart should be a more meaningful support. cos on 15/5 the opening 1.36 is where the stock hit the 50d ema.

Having read thru some of the comments here, I cant help but thinking that most of us dun have an idea where we are heading and hence all the nerve racking moments.
if you are in this stock for Fundamental reason and plan to hold for a longer term, so to speak, then the short terms Ups and Downs shouldnt have bother you. If you invest based on FA, then 2nd quarter results should at least give you comfort, knowing that the recovery is on track. why keep getting haunted by this shark thing!

horizon: you would have a different opinion if you know what i know. for all i know, market trend is powerful, not even IBs can go against. chart dun lie, it is how u interpret it, it is that simple. in jcy case, panic reached its max on 15 May. all you need to do is buy in on 15 may sell on 16 or 17. you should be making money. now if history can provide any guidance at all, the last sell off after 1st quarter announcement should be a good example. that was why i made a forehand call to enter @1.36. and disposed the next day. I even asked why buy @1.51 knowing that there would profit taking after the rebound. when do you think the IBs will buy in? 16? 17? or 15?

on my 60 mins chart, a gap up occured @1.4 on 15 May. My personal view, the price may go as low as 1.4 to close the gap before it move up again.

a simple analogy for illustration purpose, hope can calm your mind. a fall from recent high of 1.65 to a low of 1.33 is like stretching a spring to the extreme. when release (rebound), assuming the price can go back up 2/3 due to the energy stored in the spring, that will gives roughly 1.54 (2/3 mark between 1.65 and 1.33), in fact it closed @1.57 yesterday. now assuming the energy now exhausted, will the reverse happen? surely. assuming 1/3 energy remain, from the recent low of 1.33 rebound to yesterday high of 1.58, 1/3 mark gives you 1.49. so here we are.
the above is just for illustration purpose, stock price behave in a yo-yo manner after a deep dive or a sharp rise. I will exit this stock when its uptrend ends.

if you expect the price to go all the way up, then you will be dissapointed. but if you expect the profit taking to take place today, then it is all opportunty.

no doubt there are sharks out there. but they have to play along with the tide(trend) as well. if we ikan bilis can learn to swim with the tide, we should be safe.

My personal view, normally when i got a chance to enter on 15/5/2012 @ my price target of 1.36 for a quick trade, i will exit the next day or two when the price rebound.

usry: 1.47 next support. but @ this price the stock is trading below the short term moving average on the 60 minutes chart. unless it pulls a quick recovery above the short term ma, the short term ma will act as resistance each time the price rebound to hit the ma.

after the 1st qtr report announcement, the stock sold down and tested its uptrend line around 20/32012, rebounded and then tested the uptrend line again on 28/32012, from there it rallied to its most recent high.

if there is any chance if it testing its uptrend line again, it will be a good buy in opportunity - Buy Low Sell HIgh principle

Well say NK. Personally I am very weak with share split, bonus issue, right issue kind of things. I always see mixed reaction from market when these happened. I prefer simple qtrly report with dividends pay out.

SELLING RECOMMENDATIONS from Alliance 15 May 2012
JCY (5161) – Cut loss
JCY was recommended as a short term buy on 25 April at RM1.57 after breaking above the short term 30-day moving average with good volume. Since then, the price has failed to rally and moved downward. Yesterday, JCY dropped RM0.10 to close at RM1.37, which was below our initial stop loss level of RM1.40. Therefore, we recommend a sell for JCY to cut loss.
This is a typical example of a wrong TA call from a broker firm. The 30-day moving average @ 25 April should be RM1.25. On 25 April, the price traded beyond upper bollinger band (consider widely stretched at the time) with volume around 22m which was less than the previous day. It opened gap up @ 1.59 and closed@ 1.58 with a high of 1.62 and a low of 1.53. To me this is a sign of weakness as the price movement and closing indicated distribution or profit taking. Technically speaking, when the price is traded beyond upper or lower bollinger band especially when the upper and lower band are wide apart, there is a tendency for the price to move back towards the middle band. Since then the price had been moving south.
Buy @1.57 and cut loss @1.4 a loss of ~11% is really a violation of the principle Buy Low - Sell High.
Likewise for FA, OSK called to sell 30 Nov 2011 when a Buy should be called. We all knew, JCY was unaffected by Thai Flood whereas its competitors suffered heavy losses. Common sense will tell you JCY, being unaffected, surely will benefit from it all. Yet OSK called to sell JCY.
Be it FA or TA, when misinterpreted could result in losses.
All this said and done, we should be doing our homework before entering our trade. Hope this help.

For all I know, stock prices move up or down in zig zag patterns. they dun move up or down in straight line. from intraday chart i see resistance @1.49. price may retrace few cents before next attempt to move beyond 1.49. these are my observation and market could prove me wrong and i dun expect ppl to follow. since JCY uptrend remains intact, from my TA perspective, i dun see why JCY price wont advance further.

usry: Frankly, I am not a pure TA guy. Be it TA or FA, they are just tools to help me make sound investment decision. I use both. Either way, I prefer getting the facts right, that is all. It doesn't matter which method you use, don't you think is important to get the concept and terminology right to avoid miscomunication? after all it is our hard earn money we are talking about. Just my opinion, no offence man.

Agree. The current uptrend line is somewhere around here. fundamental + uptrend + oversold. Furthermore Fib Retracement of 50% -> 1.36 61.8% -> 1.3. I would say 1.3 will be very good entry. Just dun know if it can go to that level.

It is obvious to me that someone is throwing tantrum. It is normal for any counter to move south in a market like this. if you apply buy low sell high principle, this will present some good buying opportunity. just need to find a good entry point.

put FA n TA aside, if you are the playmaker, will you push the price up so that those contra player trapped between 1.48 - 1.58 can exit comfortably?
