Dow up 90 points on friday...plus positive annual report/positive market sentiment. hope it goes up to at least .09 monday & .11 tuesday! :-)

Brother KC Loh... I just want to say that it appears that you were right on the money regarding ALAM as being cash strapped & short on modern vessels, etc. I had bought in at .525 but shortly thereafter noticed that there were great difference in TP's. (which logic would require that there is an explanation for.)After reading the Maybank reportI could see how/why you came to your conclusion. I rather quickly sold my shares at .575 to make a little KFC money & moved on. Obviously, to date ALAM hasn't done much although the potential is there. My thanks for sharing your analysis. Can you give me your opinion on a different share? Glotec. The financial report just came out today at about 5.45PM today. I bought in this morning at .085 with the belief that it could go up to .12-.13 in short time if the report was positive. It ended the day down to .08 & of course the posted gossip is all negative. (so scary, but without being backed by facts or relative information) This first annual company report has positive revenue & profit. However, it may or may not be considered sufficient enough to warrant an increase in share price. If that's the case I definitely want to cut my losses & run away at soonest possible. But if it has a chance of going up to .09 -.095, I'd gladly take a small profit rather than the loss. Sorry, I know this is not the post for Glotec, but I don't think that you normally read or respond on the Glotec post. If you have time could you please read the Glotec report & possibly give a short thumbs up or thumbs down on the Glotec post? I think that you're also on Bro.Chongs forum but I haven't seen you write anything there recently. Too bad because I get a lot out of what you write! Have a nice holiday!

Also a few board room changes were made. 2 members resigning & one apparent appointment. For better or worse I don't know. Any opinions on what may be coming on Monday? I bought in at .085 this morning. But I see that the price stayed at .08 all afternoon. (wrong direction!) Do you think the report & boardroom chages could make it go up to .10 or .11 possibly on Monday?

Report came out about 5.45pm. Globaltec has profit rather than loss. Is it enough for GLOTEC to fly high? Someone more knowledgeable than me needs to analyze the report & give an opinion. Have a nice long weekend everyone!

My wife & I lived in USA for more than 10 years. Cars are much cheaper there...true. TV's cheaper there too. BUT...it's much more expensive to live there cause they have different taxes that constantly suck on you. When you get paid they have 2-3 federal taxes...2-3 state taxes...then often city tax. You pay income taxes on anything over $6K per year. (that means nearly everyone!) They even tax your retirement money. When you buy a car or fridge nearly every state charges additional 6% -7% sales tax above price of your purchase. When you go shopping for clothing you'll often pay additional 6-7% sales tax. Even when you go for car repair the mechanic must charge you sales tax on his bill for his physical work. Then there is property assessment...A small house in New Jersey might pay 5-6K USD every year. Every state has different tax rate. Petrol rate is not consistent...it usually goes up, but not down. Petrol stations have big price signs in front & people always are watching prices. Then there's the insurance scams...Insurance companies instill such fear in people so they'll often spend hundreds to thousands per month to insure home/property/mortgage and all manner of things. Then there's healthcare....There is NO healthcare system there. If you're lucky then your employer buys medical insurance for you & family. If not then you may spend hundreds or thousands every month for insurance in event that you need hospital. Millions cannot afford health insurance or insurance company will not sell to them because they are sick. So many people simply die because they are low or middle income & cannot afford treatment or medication. There are always trade offs regarding taxes. It's much better here to pay the huge tax on cars once every 10 years or so. At least you can keep most of the income that you work for.

Cars in the USA cost more to make BTW. They require heaters to keep passengers warm in winter & to defrost the windscreen. Also the US has strict exhaust emissions requirements & crash tests criteria often requiring extra equipment. But yes..your pricing is accurate. Now another big question is....where does that extra RM85K for Honda Accord& extra 200K -300K for a BMW go?? And if such a large tax goes to the gov't, why do they need to introduce the GST? And the large tax is not only on cars but also on all electronics such as refrigerator & TV's.

If Permaju hits. .66 by end of this week I am very positive that Permaju will quickly hit 1.00 next week!

I also bought in at .26 a few weeks ago... still holding plenty of WCT & WCT-WB. Plus... bought some digista & digista - wa weeks ago. POS is moving up slowly but steady. That's all good news. Some of the picks I made without reading these forums aren't doing so great. But eh...I guess that tells me something. :-) Anyway, it's nice to follow along with bro chong & you others regarding your logic & analysis of the above shares. Obviously, slow & steady CAN win the race! :-)

I also have permaju & keeping my fingers crossed. Mine is several hundred lots@ .585. I ran out of bullets in buying WCT & WCT-WB, Digista & a few others the last few days. Yeah, let's hope that Permaju will rebound to over .70!

did you notice how the roadblock was moved from 2.50 to 2.48? now there's only about 350 lots at 2.50 in stead of mega thousands a few minutes ago.

WCT & WCT-WB have held up very well over the last few days. I even managed to buy a few more at a cheap price plus did some super market shopping for a few other shares. So long as Europe & Dow improve a little we should all be fine. Like you guys said... about 3 more weeks until WCT report is out & good news/dividend should really increase the price of our shares. :-) Yeah, this is 2012, not 2009.. diiferent year/different circumstances.

Is anyone still holding Permaju? Anyone have any opinion how Permaju will do in the coming week? I have some bought at average price of .61. Permaju was top 10 in volume on wed or thurs, then interest dropped....anyone have thoughts?

Yes, very true what Bro Chong says about those selling 1-10 lots cheap in order to push the price down & accumulate. I've noticed it with other shares as well.... even those at only 20 cents or so. Once it's explained to you then it all makes sense. Maybe it's also a signal to look at sometimes when investing in the future?

WCT is now trading at 2.40 - 2.41 WCT-WB is at .26.265 anyone have any opinions if this is still good prices to buy in? any thoughts on next weeks market?

Some us (me) don't know very much so don't have much to add...also sometimes shy to speak since we are still learning.
