I don't think it will be anywhere near that. It is still a fully imported car and the tax structures will ensure it be close to 100k at least, even with some tax holidays applied.

My guess is an entry level price of about 92k and top of the range at 118k...

Let's see the specifications we get here, safety features and most importantly is the selling price in Malaysia.

The Geely Boyue is currently priced around RM68,500 (110,000 yuan) in China.

I think Malaysian's doubts with Geely is a fair concern. The car is largely sold in China, with some units sold in Rusia, Belarus and the MENA region.
Malaysian's reference point for Chinese cars too is limited; Chery Eastar, Chery Alado, Chery Tiggo, Chery A250, and more recently the Haval range. The Chery range was really poor when compared to other brands, but the Haval is decent. But the point is, Malaysians have no benchmark, so their doubts can be expected.
But China sells more than 20 million cars per year, and with that TIV, today Geely has 5% of that market. The X70 base, the Boyue, sells like 25 to 30k units a month! Surely that means the car is of some quality. If you have been to China, you will see that they are more in love with foreign brands so for a local SUV to be selling more than 200,000 units a year must mean the car is good.
Recently, it was announced that Geely is the top Chinese car brand in China, and more importantly, sit number 4 in terms of sales, above Honda, Toyota and Nissan. That says a lot.
I think the X70 will be a huge success, and this means DRB shares will be riding high again soon! Hopefully.

Vinfast is no match la. Many say its a good car because backed by BMW, but many don't know the engine was rejected by BMW. Plus, the brand has no USP, other than "national car". How many Vietnamese will afford to buy, how many people outside of Vietnam will even consider this?
