Getting crude for as low price as possible from hard negotiations / hedging is the key to prosperity but it's difficult to achieve that.

When the share price of this co moves, it moves by leaps & bounds up or down as the case may be.

Likewise with bated breadth

Estimates based on my experience is that the share will trade in the region of 7+. However 7+ is still an attractive price if the quarterly EPS can be maintained around 40 sen.

I believe the news that may have caused Magnum to move up could be the possibility of getting a stay from High Court on the demands by IRB

My guess for the results to be announced is 4++ EPS and 5 sen dividend

Investors are also afraid that the government may "pasang kaki" this counter with back taxes like Magnum or even Toto's added GST last quarter. They don't like this sort of uncertainty.

A terrible quarter

Yesterday I queued at Petron to pump & I saw a wide range of cheapskates (besides myself) in Merc E Class, Porche Carrera etc lining up, desperately trying to get their share of cheap fuel.

V funny. When stock does not perform it's removed from the index even though it's actively traded.

Each time I buy thinking it can't get any lower, I'm proven wrong. The govt which as we all are aware is in desperate need of funds, has every reason to nurture and protect this goose which has been laying golden eggs but the illegal outfits are still there.

Crude drop so much, Petron still can standing firmly - That's because Petron's throughput cost is lower in line with the drop in crude & it makes a % mark up thereof - Learnt from Probability.

the downtrend could be mainly due to demand & supply. Amanah Saham dumping thousands in an illiquid counter will drive it down. I hope & think it's not because of the performance.
