Not so fast. TA wise,sma20 is below sma50 and both r running in parallel and down slope for past 6 mths. To confirm uptrend, sma20 will need to cross sma50 and both hv to be sloping up. Otherwise it will be a bear trap.

U can't use book value for a growth company la. It is meaningless u less the company going into liquidation.

U need to consider the earning power of the company. Consider a property earning a very high rental income, do u think the owner will sell to u at mkt price?

Looking at the volume, I don't think we will see uptrend any time soon, unless the Q1FY2015 result is superb. Even that may not sustain uptrend because I believe many r waiting to unload at better prices.

Some technical observations...it has rebounded from an oversold position. MACD also turning green for nine trading days. Let's see if it can move closer towards its SMA30 in the next few days or week leading up to Q1FY2015 results.

I also wish but it has at least cross its SMA50 first before can be considered as start of an uptrend.

MACD can only tell when a trend is about to chg but it's not for sure. Better to focus on company fundamentals and accumulate on the cheap.

i think the stk is on a downtrend partly because of the postponed transfer to MB, more debt incurred to buy MEGB stake, Q4 disappointing results.

I'm not even sure why mgmt bother to buy back since the amount is so small....unless they r trying to show the mkt that mgmt sees value at current prices.

share buybacks in large vol can never be good...it is better to invest into their biz. Look at some big corps in the US, they're addicted to buybacks just to prop up their share prices because CEO's remuneration is tied to share price. It's destroying capital.
