It doesn't matter if I'm day trader or not, I'm just trying to clarify what you've said. That's all.

Well, I'm only asking coz ocpd said fixed cashflow of 20m out of GP yearly when that is accrued. Of coz, whatever accrued needs to be paid eventually.

Stock

2014-03-28 08:22 | Report Abuse

Telecaster, as far as I understand, accrued isn't compounded.

Stock

2014-03-28 08:19 | Report Abuse

Thanks ocpd, exactly. So it shdn't affect cashflow immediately until maturity or redemption.

Stock

2014-03-28 08:12 | Report Abuse

Optimus1 & ocpd, what r u talking abt paying interest? Read the proposal properly...

"Accrued Interest on the Exchangeable Bonds shall be carried forward and are cumulative, and payments of the Accrued Interest on the Exchangeable Bonds will be deferred until the maturity date or early redemption of the Exchangeable Bonds provided that no event of default has occured."

ocpd, as u hv said gp either tk this deal or face insolvency. So, lousy or not it's not like gp has a choice, does it? I don't think cc puan has got a lot of bargaining power, does he?

Yes, I would like to hear from moneysucker since he confidently "thump his chest" to the whole forum...please enlighten us if u have any comments.

I'm guessing price may go down first and then recover later.

Stock

2014-03-27 14:22 | Report Abuse

Let's just say this deal isn't what punters are hoping for. However, with this deal, GP will still have a future.

Stock

2014-03-27 14:20 | Report Abuse

Of coz ktsk88, as I mentioned before, it is still a positive move for GP in the longer run. However, how many of those here are in for the long run judging from the comments. Hahahaha.

Stock

But then again we won't know how exactly the RM350m will be used until GP side post their annoucement to Bursa. Wait again.

Stock

2014-03-27 14:17 | Report Abuse

@changlk03, u r right.

Stock

2014-03-27 14:17 | Report Abuse

ktsk88, look at the announcement in detail, no spec div mentioned...only settling debt and working capital as expected under a P1 stake sale assumption.

Stock

2014-03-27 14:11 | Report Abuse

Hard to tell how GP price will react tmr. GP's future looks brighter with TM's backing but short term wise it is not what mkt expected, i.e. outright sale of P1.

Stock

2014-03-27 13:13 | Report Abuse

Ya I see now....yikes.

Stock

2014-03-27 13:08 | Report Abuse

@ktsk88, r u holding just GP-WA? Bear in mind that even if there is special dividend, warrantholders aren't entitled to it.

Stock

2014-03-27 13:05 | Report Abuse

If the annoucement today include any special dividend, GP price will go up but it all used for working capital then tiada lah.

Stock

Sorry, I don't mean to scare you guys. Just trying to be logical and realistic. I own some too and hope I'm wrong. Hahaha.

This will definitely bump up GP's NAV but we may not get any of the RM1.13.

Stock

2014-03-27 13:02 | Report Abuse

In the news rpt, it did mention buying a controlling stake for > RM1b. If we assume RM1b, then net of debt (221M based on last qtr rpt) is RM779m. RM779 divided by 690.4M outstanding shares = ~RM1.13

2014-03-27 12:59 | Report Abuse

I don't think we will be worse off than pre-suspension but maybe no shooting-to-th-stars kinda effect only. Hahaha.

Stock

2014-03-27 12:58 | Report Abuse

Maybe with TM's backing, it can return to its former glory days.

Stock

2014-03-27 12:56 | Report Abuse

Nevertheless, it is still a positive for GP's future as a company.

Stock

2014-03-27 12:55 | Report Abuse

@lclwyp, exactly.

@ktsk88, based on this assumption, yes there is no guarantee it will shoot to the star. :-)

Stock

2014-03-27 12:50 | Report Abuse

Getting P1 do not need to go thru MGO. GP owns 57% P1. If GP wishes to sell its P1 stake, there is no need at all for an MGO for GP.

Yes, we shall all know this evening.

Stock

2014-03-27 12:45 | Report Abuse

@ktsk88, I also do hope for a complete disposal of P1 because that will only ensure a special dividend for GP shareholders.

Stock

2014-03-27 12:44 | Report Abuse

Previously, GP didn't have the financial muscle but now with TM, they will definitely have it. So why outright dispose P1? I'm just thinking out loud.
