@jeffchan1901, I am expecting a 4.5% dividend for ASM1, no change from last year.

@jeffchan1901, make withdrawal at the begining of the month cos dividend is calculated monthly, if you make withdrawal at the end of the month then you loose dividend for that month.
ASM1 will be suspended on 29th to 31st March for dividend computation....

@jeffchan1901, you go to their agent Banks such as MBB, CIMB, AmBank n a few others, the payment is on the spot....choose the one where you maintain an account, it can be credited direct into your account on the spot.

In 2020, i bought sotong instead of tiger...
....in 2021 i bought tiger and reduced sotong.

@linges, sotong is more volatile.
In a strong market, sotong has more up side potential.
In a down market, Tiger is more stable.
Sotong foreign is at 31.4% , while Tiger is only at 19.65%

@nhbeen, I actually still have about 30% of retirement fund in ASM n EPF.
....these will stay until "IF" there is any durian runtuh in Bursa, if not, then I am comfortable with 65 Maybank, 5 CIMB and 30 EPF n ASM.

My 3 years return from this investment beat the professional fund managers from EPF and ASB.
Their fund is BIG, so they need to spread to different assets to minimize risk, resulting a lower return compared to this one.
As an individual managing own investment, we can choose to "all in" here, they don't have that privilege.
So if you smart enuf to get to know the Tiger, then you beat the best retirement fund managers.....haha.

Now, it's tug of war between the BIG funds.

These few days bursa reporting showed EPF had been selling past few days and ASB also but it's encouraging to see that they were selling when prices were high....so, it's just healthy profit taking.

....but got too short time left, 3 trading days to ex......

Owning MBB is a no brainer, but young people prefer more excitement from high beta stocks compared to this old man stock.
I prefer a safer stock to park my retirement fund, slow never mind, most important is it is safer.

@jeffchan1901, my average cost is 7.896 (inclusive brokerage) after factoring DRP shares at zero cost.

@newbie2019, no la 37.28% only over 3 years.

I started buying in March 2021 and continue to accumulate till November 2021, after that only nibbling a few and DIY DRP.
My total cost now is 4346 (front few digits :p) and cash dividend received plus market price add up 5966.

....sold all in July 2021 at average 4.91 and switched to Tigers at about 8.00

...big institution willing to buy big at current level from EPF, can be considered a good thing :)

....but 31 is still good....

....With management giving encouraging guidance for 2024, management overlay remained at 1.7b and CET-1 at solid 15.3%.....I guess we can expect a higher dividend for coming years....
