KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 2): CIMB Group Holdings Bhd’s foreign shareholding rose for two consecutive months in November and December last year at 20.7% and 20.9% respectively after falling to an 11-year low at 20.6% in October 2020, according to the financial services provider's latest update on its website.

During the 11 years from January 2010 to December 2020, CIMB said it recorded its highest foreign shareholding at 42.9% in June 2011.

As at Dec 31, 2020, Khazanah Nasional Bhd owned a 27.2% stake in CIMB, the Employees Provident Fund and Permodalan Nasional Bhd held 16% and 12.2% respectively, while Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) or the Retirement Fund (Inc) owned a 6.6% stake, according to CIMB.

Analyst predicting a dividend of 8-9 sen to be announced at the end of this month.

Management had guided analyst during pre closed briefying that they will be declaring dividend during the 4Q20 report.
Most of the provisions had been booked in 4Q20, going forward 2021, provisions will probably drop back to normal..management guided that dividend will be maintained at 40-50 % payout going forward....dividend declared pre covid 2019 was 26 sen/share.
