Mudajaya Corp Bhd has been granted a Worldwide Mareva Injunction up to the value of RM49.31 million as well as Ancillary Orders prohibiting its former employee and three other individuals from any dissipation of assets.
This order is also to prohibit any third party from knowingly assisting or permitting a breach of the order until the disposal of the full trial, Mudajaya Group Bhd said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, adding that the case involving its unit will now proceed to full trial.

Building material supplier Chuan Huat Resources Bhd has disposed of its entire 6.03% indirect stake in loss-making Amalgamated Industrial Steel Bhd (AISB) to privately held Telaxis Sdn Bhd for RM3.15 million or 38 sen per share.
The disposal will give rise to a gain of RM1.24 million.
Chuan Huat said the gain on disposal is expected to have a positive impact on the group's earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019.

Frontken Corp Bhd's net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019 rose 36.8% to RM16.52 million from RM12.08 million a year earlier, due to improved performances by the group's subsidiary in Singapore.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Frontken said revenue for the quarter decreased to RM80.14 million versus RM81.78 million a year earlier, arising from lower revenue recorded by its subsidiaries in Taiwan and Malaysia.

Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has been named the safest bank in Malaysia again by monthly financial magazine, Global Finance, as part of an exclusive survey to be published in its November 2019 issue.
Apart from Maybank, Singapore’s DBS Bank, Brunei’s Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia’s Bank Central Asia are also on the list for the Asian region.
Banks were selected through an evaluation of long-term foreign currency ratings from Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch as well as the total assets of the 1,000 largest banks worldwide, Global Finance said in a statement.
